Alpha Hayleyโs Destined Mate
Chapter 659: Womanizer
Benjamin was absolutely livid. He was already engaged to Hayley, yet Peter remained wary of him, refusing to let him move in, no matter what. And now, this guy had only been here a day and was already staying in the room next to Hayleyโs! If this continued, would they no longer see him as part of the family?
Virginia immediately began analyzing the situation. Could this new guy have feelings for Hayley, too? She did like Claudio, but he was just too good with words, effortlessly charming everyone around him. He was clearly a womanizerโthere was no way sheโd let someone like him get close to Hayley.
โPeter,โ Virginia suddenly said, โMy room doesnโt get much sunlight. Why donโt I switch with you?โ
Peter was incredibly filial. Since his mother had spoken, there was no way he would refuse. โAlright, Mom, whatever you say.โ
โGood.โ Virginia nodded, then turned to Claudio and said, โClaudio, Iโll stay in the first room on the right. Itโs quite spacious. I hope you donโt mind?โ
โNot at all! You go ahead and take that room. I donโt mind at all!โ Claudio agreed good-naturedly.
โThatโs good to hear.โ Virginia looked at him approvingly. This young man was polite and considerate, but as a potential husband for Hayley, he wasnโt quite up to the mark.
Claudio didnโt seem to care about the change in rooms. He simply pulled Peter outside with him again. Who knew what they talked about, but when they returned, Claudio handed him two more supplements.
Hayleyโs POV:
Late at night. After finishing a needle therapy session for Dominic, Benjamin personally escorted me back to my room. Just as we reached the door, the room on the right suddenly swung open. Claudio came bouncing out with a mischievous grin. He waggled his eyebrows at me. โHehe, Hayley, back from your date?โ
โWhat are you doing in this room?โ I asked, confused. This was the farthest room from the front yard, quiet and spacious. It used to belong to my grandparents.
โObviously, I got it through my sheer charm!โ Claudio lifted his chin smugly, then shot Benjamin a half-amused glance.
Benjamin narrowed his eyes, giving him an intimidating glare before turning on his heel and walking away. He didnโt even say goodnight to me. Watching his retreating figure, I felt a little frustrated. I wanted to talk to him, but Iโd have to find another chance later.
Turning back to the culprit, I snapped, โWhat the hell are you playing at?โ
โI just wanted to be a little closer to you. Donโt be so fierce, Hayley,โ Claudio whined, pretending to look pitiful.
I narrowed my wolf-like eyes, letting Hera take control of my right hand as razor-sharp claws extended from my fingers. Sensing the danger, Claudio instantly dodged back into his room, pressing himself against the doorframe. Half of his face peeked out from behind the door as he dramatically declared, โIโm warning you! A gentleman uses words, not violence! You didnโt even give me a heads-up before trying to kill me!โ
โWell, maybe donโt be such a pain in the ass,โ I said, taking another step forward.
โWait, wait, wait!โ Claudio yelped in panic. โStay right there! Donโt come any closer! You just donโt appreciate my kindness! Iโm doing this for your own good, you know?โ
โOh? Is that so?โ I scoffed. He was obviously just trying to stir up trouble.
โI knew you wouldnโt understand.โ Claudio sighed dramatically, finally stepping out from behind the door.
I glared at him, making sure to look as menacing as possible. He immediately froze in place, standing still like a well-behaved child.
โAlright, alright, Hayley, at least let me explain first!โ he whined.
โDo you have any idea how terrifying you are? Even the highest-ranked werewolves in our organization turn into obedient little lambs in front of you. Donโt look at me like that. Iโm scared, too!โ He pouted.
โTalk. Now,โ I snapped impatiently.
