Chapter 256

Lemifa sauntered to the computer, her slender fingers dancing across the keyboard. She quickly wrote a piece of code and injected it into the forum post, which rapidly began collecting comments based on specific keywords.

โ€œAll those who participated in spreading rumors will have their phones locked permanently. They can only unlock them by posting an apology,โ€ Lemira stated coolly, her tone dripping with arrogance.

Susanna scoffed. โ€œLemira, youโ€™re incredibly arrogant. You think your little piece of code can actually do that?โ€

โ€œDamn, why did my phone just die?โ€ someone exclaimed.

โ€œMine too! Iโ€™m stuck on this post and can only publish one thing; everything else is frozen,โ€ another voice added.

Susanna, skeptical, checked her phone to find it unresponsive. Fuming, she confronted Lemira. โ€œWhat did you do? Unlock my phone! By what right do you lock my phone?โ€

Lemira chuckled. โ€œSo, does this mean I win our bet?โ€

Susannaโ€™s expression froze. She realized Lemira had succeeded. The classroom atmosphere shifted dramatically.

Lemira, casually resting her hand on the podium, fixed her gaze on Susanna. โ€œSo, which will it be first? Kneeling or apologizing?โ€

Susanna stepped back. โ€œWhy should I kneel or apologize to you?โ€

โ€œSo youโ€™re backing out of the bet?โ€

Susanna was speechless. Evelina intervened. โ€œLemira, you might not have lost, but Ms. Sinclair didnโ€™t lose either. She managed to write the code too, so itโ€™s a tie!โ€

โ€œYes, itโ€™s a tie!โ€ someone agreed.

Susanna refused to kneel or apologize.

Lemira snorted. โ€œSounds like a sore loser to me.โ€

Evelina continued. โ€œLemira, weโ€™re all classmates. Thereโ€™s no need to be so confrontational. Ms. Sinclair challenging you was natural, considering itโ€™s the first day of class. Who would have believed you knew so much?โ€

Lemira clapped. โ€œBravo, Ms. Sinclair; your lapdog certainly can talk.โ€

Evelinaโ€™s face soured.

Susanna raised an eyebrow. โ€œJealous much? Cut the crap and unlock everyoneโ€™s phones!โ€

โ€œAs I said, unlocking is simple: post an apology, and once itโ€™s approved, the phone will unlock,โ€ Lemira replied impassively.

Susanna refused to apologize. She turned to the teacher. โ€œYouโ€™ve seen what Lemiraโ€™s done. Itโ€™s excessive. Please delete her program.โ€

โ€œSure,โ€ the teacher said, glancing at Lemira. โ€œYou clearly have talent, but it needs to be used responsibly.โ€

Lemira smiled enigmatically. Her code wasn't easily cracked!

As the teacher attempted to dismantle Lemiraโ€™s program, it became clear she couldn't break through. Surprise, then seriousness, crossed the teacherโ€™s face as she realized the futility of her efforts.

Susanna grew anxious. โ€œWhy arenโ€™t our phones unlocked yet?โ€

The teacher, visibly embarrassed, admitted, โ€œIโ€ฆ I canโ€™t unlock them!โ€

โ€œWhat? You canโ€™t unlock them either? How is that possible?โ€ Susanna exclaimed in disbelief. How could Lemira be so skilled?

The teacher adjusted her glasses, realizing she had underestimated Lemiraโ€™s capabilities.

Evelinaโ€™s phone was also locked, containing important data, but she refused to apologize publicly. Standing, she accused Lemira. โ€œDo you realize what youโ€™re doing is illegal?โ€

Lemira spun a piece of chalk, a sly smile on her lips. โ€œAnd so is slandering me.โ€

Just then, police officers entered the classroom. Susannaโ€™s eyes lit up. โ€œPerfect timing. Lemiraโ€™s here. Take her away!โ€
