Chapter 245  After Susanna dropped that bomb, the bar’s private room went dead silent. Many eyes turned to Lemira, some filled with anticipation  for the drama to unfold.  “I heard Lemira managed to tick off some folks from the Business School right on the first day.”  “Yeah, I was there. Lemira was all high and mighty.”  “People really should know their place, saves them from biting off more than they can chew.”  Susanna, smug as ever, stared Lemira down. She was out for blood, wanting to make Lemira squirm.  She aimed to show this country bumpkin the price for crossing her! Making Lemira an outcast at the university, until she was begging Susanna for forgiveness on her knees!  Jackson intervened, “Ms. Sinclair, perhaps there’s been a misunderstanding with Lemira. We’re all going to be part of the same club  Evelina chimed in hastily, “Exactly, Lemira, why don’t you just apologize to Ms. Sinclair with a toast?”  “Hmph, unless she gets on her knees and beg for it, I will never forgive her!”  Susanna grabbed a glass from the table and flung its contents towards Lemira, “Consider this a lesson! Letting you know the difference between us, you bumpkin!”  Lemira was drenched but remained unfazed, calmly wiping her face.  “Lemira, listen to the captain, just apologize.”  Evelina was pleased to see the scene, thinking Lemira got what she deserved.  Jackson handed Lemira a glass, “Come on, make a toast, be nice about it.”  Lemira glanced at it and took the glass.  The smile on Jackson’s face deepened, “That’s right. Apologize to Ms. Sinclair!”  “Who said I’d apologize?”  With the glass in hand, she poured the drink right over Susanna’s head.  People in the room witnessed the scene, everyone holding their breath, daring not make any sound. They knew full well Susanna was not one to mess with, never expecting Lemira would fight back.  Realizing what had happened, Susanna screamed, “You hillbilly bitch, you’re dead meat!”  Evelina, snapping back to reality, hurriedly passed tissues to Susanna. She was taken aback, astounded by Lemira’s boldness,  Lemira clapped her hands, dismissively saying, “You started it. Just returning the favor.”  Not wanting to stay a moment longer, Lemira made her way out, stopping by the restroom first, regretting she ever came. Jinx!  As she exited from a stall, Evelina was waiting, all high and mighty, “Lemira, you’ve crossed Ms. Sinclair. You’re done for. Not even Asher could save you now.”  “You must be over the moon, right? Setting Susanna on me, a real backstabber!”  “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I only know that you’re in deep trouble. The Sinclairs won’t let this go.”  “Well, I’ll be waiting.”  As Lemira turned to leave, Evelina suddenly raised her hand and sprayed something at Lemira. It smelled sweet but odd. Lemira covered her nose and mouth, stepping back cautiously.  That was when Susanna stormed in, flanked by a few bodyguards, “Lemira, you dare splash me with a drink. I’ll send you ten hooligans, and make sure everyone sees you for the tramp you are. Let’s see how you hold your head up at Orvin University after this!”  Feeling her face burn and her strength wane, Lemira realized Susanna’s ruthlessness. She was careless this time.  Lemira looked down and spotted a mop bucket nearby; she grabbed it and hurled it towards Susanna, who screamed and stumbled back as her bodyguards rushed in.  Seizing the chance, Lemira dashed out.  “She’s running away!” Evelina was the first to react, grabbing Lemira by the wrist.
