Chapter 765 The Trainer Has Skills

Anabelle and Alpha looked at each other. Anabelleโ€™s face was pale; Alpha remained indifferent.

โ€œSir, itโ€™s the madam and the young lady,โ€ Reuben said, sensing the tension.

Alpha then approached Olive and Anabelle.

โ€œUncle Augustine, are you going back to Greenland? We are too. Can we get on your plane?โ€ Olive asked, taking Anabelleโ€™s arm.

Alpha pursed his lips. โ€œYes,โ€ he replied, then turned and walked away without waiting for them.

Anabelle watched him go. His gaze had been icy, as if he were looking at a stranger. For years, he had always held her hand, but now, she felt he had let go. She couldn't understand his changed demeanor since that night.

โ€œAunt Anabelle, letโ€™s go,โ€ Olive said, pulling her along.

On the luxurious plane, Olive sat with Anabelle while Alpha sat with a beautiful woman named Willow Carley. Anabelle could see them clearly. Alpha read a financial newspaper; Willow chatted animatedly.

Willow glanced at Alpha, who lounged comfortably, his long legs crossed elegantly. He was handsome and sharp, like a fine red wine, mellowed with age. She leaned toward him, pressing her breasts against his arm and whispering, โ€œMr. Augustine, stop reading. Letโ€™s talk.โ€

Alpha looked up, glanced at her, then at her hand on his arm. โ€œWhat are you doing? Sit back,โ€ he said.

Willowโ€™s face paled. โ€œPresident Augustine, do you love your wife that much?โ€

Alpha merely curled his lips in a subtle, ambiguous smile. โ€œSo you know I have a wife?โ€

Willow found him difficult to engage. She didn't believe his seeming devotion. Fifty-year-old men, she mused, were often susceptible to temptation when their careers and families were stable, their desires seeking fulfillment.

โ€œMr. Augustine, of course I know you have a wife, sitting right behind us. Unfortunately, she doesnโ€™t seem to care about you. She didnโ€™t seem jealous when we sat together.โ€

The image of Anabelle hugging Marcus on the street flashed through Alphaโ€™s mind, his eyes hardening.

Willow raised an eyebrow. โ€œMr. Augustine, no matter how good your wife is, sheโ€™s not young anymore. A juicy peach is before you; arenโ€™t you tempted?โ€

Alpha glanced at Willowโ€™s youthful face, feeling more anger than attraction. โ€œDonโ€™t get me wrong. At my age, I could be your father.โ€

Willow seductively stroked her hair, purring, โ€œDaddy.โ€

She was skilled at seduction, especially with men like Alpha.

Alpha, a hint of mischief in his eyes, slowly approached Willow. She felt her heart race, convinced he would succumb.

But he stopped, a smirk playing on his lips. โ€œIโ€™ll say it again; Iโ€™m not in a good mood. Don't bother me. If you really want a daddy, I can help you find one.โ€

Willow recoiled, her face paling. His smile didnโ€™t reach his eyes; they were cold, unyielding, and terrifying. She fell silent.

Anabelle watched from behind. They were about to kiss, and Alphaโ€™s laughter was chilling. He was being playfully cruel, but this time, his target wasn't her.

Olive asked suspiciously, โ€œAunt Anabelle, whatโ€™s wrong with Uncle Augustine? Does he like that girl?โ€

Anabelle averted her gaze. โ€œItโ€™s none of my business.โ€

Olive, internally interested and jealous but outwardly indifferent, said, โ€œAunt Anabelle, are you really done with him? Heโ€™s like a child needing comfort. Without it, he'll be tempted. Older men often prefer younger women, and this girl is taking advantage. Youโ€™re just handing him over. Itโ€™s not worth it.โ€

Anabelle looked at Willow, so affectionate and admiring toward Alpha. Men probably preferred that type. Compared to Willow's warmth, Anabelle realized she had been cold, rejecting, and emotionally unavailable. It was no wonder he was moving on.

Anabelle took a deep breath. โ€œIsnโ€™t this what I wanted?โ€ she murmured. A divorce, and him finding someone else. Yet, a sharp, spreading pain pierced her heart.

She patted Oliveโ€™s forehead. Olive felt like a daughter; a welcome replacement for her past regrets. โ€œNo wonder Elvis took your advice. Olive, youโ€™re good at persuasion.โ€

Olive blushed, feeling guilty for her unwitting role in Anabelleโ€™s pain.

The plane landed in Greenland, and all four disembarked.
