Chapter 740: Marvin Returns
Tonight, Elvis, handsome and noble in his thin black wool coat, stood quietly under a dim yellow streetlight, holding a black umbrella. His narrow, deep eyes fell upon Olive and Alpha. He had come, but what had he just said?
Olive shuddered, then called out obediently, โMr. Augustine.โ
Elvis strode over, his strong arms encircling her slender waist. He pulled her close, saying, โAm I still your Mr. Augustine? You seem to have found another.โ Olive realized his jealousy.
Alpha, looking at Elvis indifferently, called out, โMr. Augustine,โ then turned and left in his luxurious car. Elvis, sensing disdain and malice in his fatherโs tone, was even more displeased.
โMr. Augustine, what do you mean? Please explain clearly,โ he said, starting to chase after him.
Olive quickly grabbed Elvis. โMr. Augustine, what are you doing? Are you crazy? Thatโs your father!โ
Elvis looked at Oliveโs beautiful faceโmore beautiful than he remembered from a few days agoโand felt a sudden sense of unease. โOlive,โ his voice low and laced with displeasure, โAre you protecting him now? Are you protecting me, or him?โ
โIโll always protect you,โ Olive reassured, patting his stiff back.
Elvis snorted. โThen why didnโt you come to see me right away?โ He gently cupped her face. โOlive, didnโt you miss me these past few days?โ His grip left a red mark on her delicate skin. Why did he seem like a spoiled child?
โMr. Augustine, I missed you very much,โ Olive said, rushing into his embrace.
He held her tightly, her small hands around his waist, her head buried in his chest. โMr. Augustine, Iโve been thinking about you all night; I couldnโt sleep. Did you miss me?โ
His dissatisfaction and jealousy vanished instantly. He couldnโt stand Oliveโs coquettishness the least. He lowered his head, his lips brushing her hair, kissing her hard. His hoarse voice murmured, โMe too. Thinking about you all nightโฆmade my whole body hard. If you donโt believe meโฆfeel it.โ
Olive quickly covered his mouth. No nonsense, especially on the street.
Elvis saw the shyness in her clear eyes. He wrapped his arms around her waist. โLetโs go home.โ
โWhich home?โ
โYou decideโwill I sleep with you tonight, or you with me?โ
Olive understood immediately. Breaking free, she ran. โNo, I just got home. I want to be with the children tonight.โ
Elvis chased after her, the pair laughing as they ran down the street.
Unseen, a silver Maybach slowly pulled up across the road. The rear window slid down, revealing a cold, handsome face. Marvin hadnโt seen them in over three years. Tonight, he wore a white shirt, his face striking, his black eyes bright. He hadnโt seen Elvis in years either. Now twenty-eight, in the prime of his maturity, he sat quietly in his car, watching Elvis and Olive. His gaze was particularly fixed on Olive, the woman he loved most.
From the driverโs seat, Phil observed his young master. Heโd left a medical summit for news of Olive. Looking at the affectionate couple, Phil didnโt understand his masterโs purpose.
โYoung Master,โ Phil said, โIf you want to see Miss Hart, why not say hello? Theyโre already far away.โ
Marvin slowly shook his head. He knew Olive loved Elvis deeply. Her three children were growing up. She was his sister-in-law.
Soon, Elvis and Olive disappeared. Marvin watched them go, murmuring, โItโs useless for me to go.โ
Phil considered this. He knew Marvin was Lilyโs support; with him, she wouldnโt regret her actions. Ignoring her was best. โYoung Master, I heard Mrs. Annabelle is back. Shall we visit her?โ
