Chapter 96: He Is Absolutely Inhuman

Rayleeโ€™s breath caught as soft whimpers of despair escaped her lips. She was powerless against the searing pain that pierced her to the core. Brock pulled out his phone and called Jeremiah to report the incident. After ending the call, he gritted his teeth and growled, โ€œMr. Lorimer ordered us to lock her in the water dungeon. Let her taste some real hardship!โ€

Leonโ€™s lecherous gaze lingered on Raylee. He turned to Brock and pleaded, โ€œBrock, once sheโ€™s locked in the water dungeon, her body will be completely ruined. Why not let me have some fun with her before that happens?โ€

Brock responded irritably, โ€œLook at you, youโ€™re so horny, going at it so many times a day. Be careful or youโ€™ll ruin your manhood.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s all right, Brock. Iโ€™ve taken drugs!โ€ Leon said, licking his parched lips and rubbing his hands together in anticipation. โ€œDonโ€™t say I never look out for you. Go ahead and enjoy yourself!โ€

With Brockโ€™s approval, Leon lunged toward Raylee, a sinister smirk playing on his lips. Raylee was huddled on the ground, her eyes warily fixed on Leon who was trying to violate her. She had stealthily grabbed a knife from the table when they werenโ€™t paying attention and stashed it behind her back. As Leon began to lower his pants, she squinted her eyes and thrust her knife toward him. Her knife skills were precise, marking the end of Leonโ€™s bloodline.

Amid Leonโ€™s agonized screams, Raylee managed to protect her innocence. Yet, she was sent to the most dreadful water dungeon by Brock. Built within the sewer system, it was a cramped, suffocating space where darkness reigned. Raylee was suspended with her hands bound above her, her lower body submerged in the filthy, seemingly bottomless water. Bone-chilling cold seeped through her body, and despair took hold of her.

Her suffering was relentless. Leeches, rats, and mosquitoes infested the water, biting at her skin without mercy. The physical agony was so unbearable that she found herself wishing for death as a release. In the unending darkness, her mental defenses began to crumble, piece by piece. It felt as though the entire world had turned its back on her, leaving her utterly abandoned, with no glimmer of hope to cling to. This excruciating torment of both body and mind was a suffering that even Raylee had not been spared from before. The water torture she had endured in District Nine Prison was unlike anything she had faced before.

She bore it with immense resilience, her formidable willpower keeping her from succumbing. Even Brock, who arrived three hours later, was taken aback by her endurance. โ€œDamn, this stubborn girl hasnโ€™t fainted yet. Sheโ€™s really something!โ€ However, he had no intention of letting her go. He merely stayed to observe the spectacle before leaving.

Time became a blur. At last, a group of uniformed individuals stormed in, rescuing the barely conscious Raylee.

When she regained consciousness, she discovered that the embassy had initiated a rescue mission for victims of the telecommunications fraud. She was fortunate to be among those saved. Kaylee didnโ€™t want to stay in East Aploth for even a moment. Although she was under the embassy staffโ€™s protection, she remained within Jeremiahโ€™s territory. If he discovered she had been rescued, he would undoubtedly find a way to keep her from leaving. Every second she stayed only seemed to increase the risk. She decided to return to her home country that very day, despite her injuries.

Upon arriving back home, she immediately checked into the hospital. When Shanice learned they were in the same hospital, she wasted no time in coming to visit. As soon as Casimir heard the news of Rayleeโ€™s return, he rushed over as well. The moment he saw her, his heart clenched. Her face was swollen and puffy, her complexion deathly pale, almost unrecognizable. His concern quickly turned to anger.

โ€œRayโ€“Ray, how could that sick monster put you through something like this? Heโ€™s absolutely inhuman!โ€

Raylee had endured more than eight harrowing hours in the water dungeon, leaving her with severe injuries. Her body was covered in wounds from insect bites, many of which had become infected, oozing pus and causing her to shiver uncontrollably. A relentless high fever wracked her body, and every slight movement brought excruciating discomfort, as if countless tiny ice needles were mercilessly piercing her skin.

Too weak to speak, Raylee cast a feeble glance at Casimir. Shanice, moved by the pitiful sight before her, felt her eyes welling with tears.

โ€œRayโ€“Ray, when you sent the word โ€˜East,โ€™ I immediately guessed that Jeremiah had kidnapped you to East Aploth. Casimir and your brother were already making plans to rescue you, pulling every string they could. But you managed to return on your own. Youโ€™ve been through so much. It must have been incredibly painful. Still, Iโ€™m relieved youโ€™re back. Iโ€™ll make sure to find the best doctor to take care of you.โ€

Raylee glanced at the melancholic Casimir and Shanice and nodded in gratitude.
