Chapter 394 The Annoying Casimir
A string of voice messages was received from Casimir.
"RayโRay, do you realize that you nearly messed up something big for me in front of the bakery! How could you take the initiative to flirt with me and even claim that I would marry you in front of Mr. Foucault? If you happen to provoke Mr. Foucault and he decides to break up with you, youโll be worthless. Donโt even dream about marrying into the Sutherland family."
Just by reading the words, one could feel Casimirโs anger.
Damn it, what right does he have to blame Rayleet?
Originally, Jeremiah had intended to send Casimir a scathing message. Upon further thought, he replied: "Iโm sorry, Caz, I didnโt think through everything properly."
After sending the message, he felt nauseated.
Meanwhile, Casimir was taken aback.
Casimir: "You actually realized your mistake? Itโs okay, I forgive you. As long as you put in a good word for me with Mr. Foucault and help facilitate our collaboration, I wonโt hold it against you."
Right then. Jeremiah had made up his mind to pull a devastating prank on Casimir.
Jeremiah: "Iโve put in a good word, and Mr. Foucault has agreed to collaborate with you. He even asked if you have any promising projects. He just returned to the country and doesnโt have much going on, but heโs got plenty of money. He asked when youโll be available to meet face-to-face. You know, these wealthy scions, they really donโt value money as we do. You must seize the opportunity and make a fortune out of it."
Meanwhile, Casimir was under the impression that he had struck it rich with the clueless Leonardo. One couldnโt even begin to describe how elated he was.
He immediately agreed: "Iโll meet him face to face tomorrow then. Iโll send you the location. RayโRay, youโre truly wonderful, I love you." Jeremiah responded immediately: "I love you too, Caz. I want to marry youโฆ."
While doing so, he was covered in goosebumps.
This exโboyfriend is utterly disgusting. I wonโt rest until I get back at him!
Raylee woke up in a daze, and as she opened her eyes, she saw Jeremiah grinning mischievously as he played with the phone. She was jolted awake and flew into rage.
โWho are you chatting with? You look so happy. Is it Angela?โ
โAngela?โ Jeremiah was taken aback, unsure as to why she suddenly brought up Angela.
โI canโt believe it, you jerk! Iโve yet to settle scores with you, and youโre giving me another reason already?โ
Raylee scrambled up hastily, snatching the cell phone away.
Her gaze happened to catch the words โmarry youโ in their conversation.
Without checking further, she angrily showed the phone screen to Jeremiah.
โIโve caught you redโhanded, havenโt I? Angela says that she wants to marry you! You two have been discussing marriage, havenโt you? Why did you even bother playing the good guy by wanting to heal me? Once I die, wouldnโt you two be able to be together? Or could it be that Iโm just a pawn in your game? Do you take pleasure in watching me lose my mind with jealousy?"
In the end, Raylee was reduced to tears out of frustration.
Choking back sobs, she turned away, wiping off tears shed for an unworthy man.

Jeremiah was left dumbfounded by her scolding.
Do all women possess such a vivid imagination?
He didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. โRayโRay, youโve misunderstoodโฆโ
Before he could even finish his sentence, Raylee forcefully hurled her phone at him.
โMisunderstanding? I saw everything with my own eyes. You two should just get married. Iโm done playing games with you! Men are all the same, always wanting what they canโt have. So what if youโve made a mistake? Itโs not like itโs the first time. I won't come between both of you anymore!โ
After she finished speaking, she attempted to run out, tears streaming down her face.
However, Jeremiah embraced her from behind in one swift motion.
โAlright, alright, stop making a fuss. Itโs really a misunderstanding. Look carefully at our chat history before you say anything else,โ he said helplessly, trying to soothe her.
โI've already seen Angela declaring her intent to marry you, why are you still denying it? Be open about it instead of sneaking around. Iโd respect you more if you were man enough!โ Raylee raged, struggling forcefully. โLet me go, or Iโll show you noโฆโ
โCalm down, calm down. This is all my fault. Donโt be upset. Your health isnโt good. You shouldnโt get all worked up!โ Jeremiah coaxed in a soft voice, still not letting her go.
Right then, Raylee lifted her foot, smashing her knee against his groin.
A soft squishing sound subsequently echoed out.
