She had personally participated in its design, from the large-scale decoration and furnishings to the smallest of corners. All the designers hired were renowned, and every piece of construction material was imported from abroad. Every single ornament was a limited-edition luxury item. This mansion represented the culmination of all her efforts and dedication. Harret had advised her that if she ever felt wronged in the Sutherland family, she would at least have a sanctuary to turn to.
However, at that very moment, her sanctuary had been overrun by a group of people. Her clothes, shoes, hats, cosmetics, and daily necessities were all thrown out. The plants and flowers she had meticulously asked the gardener to cultivate in the courtyard were trampled into ruin. The luxurious mansion that once belonged to her had now become someone else's territory.
“What are you doing? This is my house! You’re intruding!” Waverly yelled hysterically.
The thugs who arrived to clean up the scene said ruthlessly, “Heh… Your house? Didn’t Mr. Goodridge inform you? Snow Wave Amusement Park has been sold to Mr. Lorimer, so hurry up and take your trash away!”
“No, this is my house! You can’t touch my things!”
Waverly fearlessly charged forward, only to be brutally shoved to the ground by a few thugs.
“Get lost! Don’t make me hit a woman!”

Alaric, in a state of exasperation, snapped angrily, “Enough! Shut up!” His overwhelming anger caused his chest to ache again, sending him into a severe coughing fit. Harriet immediately patted his back, soothingly saying, “All right, all right, don’t be upset. The doctor said your condition could be serious. It’d be troublesome if it leads to a heart attack.”
