Listen to this chapter:

Joshua received the news that Kylie had gone to Horington. Shermaine, not wanting him to stress, had quietly synced his phone with the GPS system so heโ€™d always stay informed.

Right now, Kylie was still about 12 to 18 miles from Shermaine and, strangely enough, she hadnโ€™t caused any chaos yet.

At the boxing gym, Joshua's eyes were mostly on his phone. Anyone with half a brain could tell who he was texting.

Roy nudged Henry with a knowing grin. โ€œSee that? Thatโ€™s the pain of long-distance love. Look at Joshua. Heโ€™s clinging to his phone like a lifeline.โ€

Henry gave him a side-eye. โ€œItโ€™s not the same thing. Shermaineโ€™s his wife. Mollyโ€™s justโ€ฆ whatever she is to you. Itโ€™s not exactly comparable.โ€

Roy looked like he might explode. โ€œHenry, you cold-blooded bastard. Do you enjoy stabbing me in the heart?โ€

Henry retorted, โ€œIs it my first time doing it?โ€

Roy fumed, โ€œLetโ€™s settle this with a fight!โ€

Henry cracked his neck with a smirk. โ€œBring it on. Itโ€™s been a while since I knocked some sense into you anyway.โ€

Roy shot back, โ€œWeโ€™ll see who gets the last laugh.โ€

The two kept bickering back and forth, while everyone else was having a blast watching the drama.

As predicted, Ross came out on top. He might look like a refined heir, but in the ring, his punches were brutal and merciless. This sight stunned those who were unfamiliar with Ross.

Just as Roy and Henry were bickering about changing clothes to get in the ring themselves, a flashy trust-fund kid strolled in with Harry in tow.

Someone asked, โ€œWhoโ€™s that guy?โ€

The trust-fund kid shrugged. โ€œNo idea. Seems like a new member. He says he wants to challenge Mr. York.โ€

Well, things just got interesting. In their circle, Joshua was the one guy nobody dared to mess with, but a newcomer wanted to challenge him.

These guys were tough, but not dumb enough to walk into inevitable defeat, knowing they would get beaten to a pulp. They had to praise the newbie for having balls of steel to challenge Joshua.

In an instant, the rich boys lit up, the energy in the room shifting as they egged each other on with growing excitement.

Hearing this, Joshua looked up from his phone. He was still on a video call with Shermaine and said curtly, โ€œTurn him down.โ€

Shermaine perked up when she heard someone wanted to challenge Joshua. Curious, she asked, โ€œSomeone wants to challenge you?โ€

โ€œMm.โ€ Joshua paused briefly. โ€œHeโ€™s not worth my time.โ€ He wasnโ€™t the type to accept just any challenge, especially not from someone random.

Harry, on the other hand, didnโ€™t take rejection well. He frowned and, with his fluent local language, asked arrogantly, โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong, Joshua? Scared youโ€™ll lose?โ€

Even with superior genes, one would not be deemed truly powerful in their world if their physical prowess were not up to standard.

Harry prided himself on his exceptional abilities. Back in his kingdom, he commanded an army of over 10 thousand soldiers and had earned Judyโ€™s favor, becoming her trusted right-hand man.

Legend had it that the royal family members were peerless warriors, known not just for their unmatched physical strength but also for their astonishing regenerative abilities. These traits had once struck fear into the hearts of other races, securing their place as the kingdomโ€™s most dominant family.

But those were just centuries-old legends. Harry was itching to find out if someone with that so-called royal blood was all that. However, he couldnโ€™t believe that Joshua rejected his challenge.

Moreover, Joshua didnโ€™t spare him a glance. Harry was just about ready to throw a punch and show everyone what he could do.

Shermaine, hearing the taunt, pressed her lips together. She didnโ€™t like anyone questioning Joshua, especially not like this. She was fiercely protective of him, and honestly, she wouldnโ€™t mind seeing him throw a few punches.

โ€œGo ahead,โ€ Shermaine said.

โ€œI just want to keep talking to you,โ€ Joshua replied without missing a beat.

The crowd was stunned. No one wouldโ€™ve thought that the famously cold and aloof Joshua would be so clingy with his wife.

โ€œI want to watch,โ€ Shermaine said.

Joshua gulped. โ€œFor real?โ€

Shermaine nodded.

โ€œAlright.โ€ Joshua finally turned to Harry. โ€œIโ€™ll accept your challenge only because my baby wants to see me in the ring.โ€
