Shermaine had planned to teach Joshua a lesson, so she didn’t continue to indulge him. She curled her lips into a smile. “I have a great idea. Let me go first.”

The light revealed a large piece of snake skin and a layer of shed skin.

Joshua looked down as well and said to James ahead, “Go check if there’s a pool up ahead. Be careful. There might be a snake.”
