Chapter 604

“Damn!” A sudden, angry shout came from outside the door. Just as the waiter was about to close the door, Elizabeth heard someone yell, “Alexander! Don’t hit him!”

Elizabeth frowned. By the time she looked outside again, the door was already shut. Natalia looked surprised. “Did I just hear Kieran’s voice?” Elizabeth glanced at her. That voice did sound like Kieran’s.

“I’ll go check it out,” Natalia said, getting up to see what was happening. The door opened, and as soon as Natalia stepped out, she quickly retreated and exclaimed, “Kyle, have I been too lenient with you?”

“Alexander, stop!”

“What if I kill you?”

Each voice was more vicious than the last, echoing in everyone’s ears. Elizabeth tightened her grip on her utensils, trying to stay calm and not get distracted by the noise outside. But Charles couldn’t resist and ran out to see. Declan and Rose exchanged a glance and then looked at Elizabeth. Elizabeth stayed put.

Celine sighed. “Even having a meal, we run into Alexander.”

“Yeah,” Grant nodded, serving Celine some food. Elizabeth kept eating, still calm.

Natalia called out, “Elizabeth, aren’t you coming out to see? Alexander is fighting with someone!” Elizabeth’s previously calm heart was momentarily disturbed by Natalia’s words, but she quickly suppressed it. “No, nothing worth seeing, and I’m not interested.”

Natalia raised an eyebrow. Seeing Elizabeth unmoved, she said, “Alexander is getting beaten up too, and the other guy seems pretty fierce.”

In the silence, Kyle’s cursing reached their ears: “So what if I curse you? You’re a despicable person! Alexander, I’ll never forgive what your family has done! You deserve to miss out on the Elizabeth you fancy and to be deceived. You’re destined to live in pain, and if Elizabeth forgives you, I’ll despise her! If I were her, I’d wish you were dead!”

Natalia clicked her tongue. “Could this fight be over Elizabeth?”

Elizabeth looked up, her heart no longer calm.

Chapter 604

“Aren’t you guys eating?” she asked them. Charles cleared his throat, quickly came back, and didn’t forget to pull Natalia back as well. Then the door closed, but it couldn’t block the sound of a vase falling to the ground outside, in the hallway.

Alexander grabbed Kyle by the collar and slammed him hard against the wall. Kieran reached out to pull them apart, accidentally getting scratched on the arm by Kyle. “Enough, you two. This is a public place. What if someone takes a picture and it gets out?” he shouted. But he couldn’t hold them back.

“What are you afraid of? He wasn’t afraid of the humiliation of kneeling to a woman, and now he’s afraid of fighting me?” Kyle was extremely arrogant. Alexander tried to let it go several times, but Kyle always managed to say something that made Alexander even angrier.

“Can’t you two sit down and talk it out? What does fighting solve?” Kieran, the mediator, was exhausted.
