Chapter 399

Julian couldn't remain calm. He paced, wiped sweat from his brow, and peeked through the door. Thorn finally intervened, grabbing Julian by the collar. "Will you chill out? Nothing's going to happen."

"Easy for you to sayโ€”she's not your wife in there," Julian retorted, shaking off Thorn's hand and glaring.

Thorn's mouth twitched, and he fell silent.

"How's it going?" Demi strode over with Aiden. Sienna hadn't had the baby yet, had she?

"Not yet," Vivian said, shaking her head, anxiously glancing at the operating room doors. Nathan gave her a comforting pat. "Don't worry, everything's under control. The top doctors are in there, plus Jason and Zane are with her."

Vivian nodded.

After three nerve-wracking hours, the wails of newborns shattered the tense silence. A nurse emerged, cradling three babies. "Congratulations! It's two boys and a girl," she announced.

Thorn beat Julian to it, asking, "How's Sienna? Is she okay?" Julian stomped on Thorn's shoe and strode into the operating room. "Where's my wife?" he demanded.

"Mr. Ford, your wife is just a bit worn out from the delivery. She's resting and will be moved to her room soon," the nurse replied.

Half an hour later, Sienna lay in her hospital bed, and Julian, so nervous he could barely breathe, held her hand tightly, pressing it gently to his cheek. "Sienna," he murmured softly. The rest of the family fussed over the babies in the spacious, bright room.

Julian, unable to stand the noise, shut the glass door, leaving him and Sienna alone. The babies, picture-perfect, unlike usual newborns, slept soundly, their eyes closed.

Vivian wiped away tears. These were Sienna's babiesโ€”her family.

Sienna awoke to find it was night. Julian's worried gaze met hers. She smoothed the furrow between his brows. "I'm fine," Sienna murmured.

Julian's eyes were red-rimmed, but he smiled, squeezing her hand. "Thank you," he said, his voice thick with emotion. Sienna added, "They're my children, too." The babies belonged to both of them.

A few days later, Sienna glanced at the noisy little ones in their strollerโ€”if they weren't crying, they were eating. She couldn't take the racket, so she left them to Julian and the others. Meanwhile, she basked in the sun and worked on her training, regaining her strength.

Julian, surprisingly patient, changed diapers, cleaned the babies, and rocked them to sleep. Thorn arrived, feeling jealous. He stared at the three babies; some resembled Julian (annoyingly), but more importantly, they resembled Siennaโ€”and that he liked.

Thorn watched Julian intently. After two hours, Julian, taking pity on him, handed him the baby girl. "Be careful," he warned.

Thorn's breath caught. "She's so tiny! How can something be this small? And so soft. I'm totally going to break her! What am I supposed to do now?" he panicked, sweating and swallowing nervously.

The little girl, rosy and chubby, with long lashes fluttering like butterfly wings, blinked at him curiously. Her tiny hands resembled magnolia buds, plump and round. Suddenly, her feet, plump as little balls with pink toes, kicked energetically. She moved with lively strength, like a silkworm eager to break free.

Thorn paled, looking helplessly at Julian. "Julian, what do I do? She's moving!" Thorn yelped, his voice cracking with panic. Julian was speechless.
