Chapter 386

Sally didn't deny it. She sighed and said, "Hazel, I know I owe you a huge debt, and I'll never forget it. But... you're my biggest business partner, and I have to make a living too, right?"

Reno crossed her arms, grumbling, "Miss Noir already gave you three percentage points in profit. How is that not making money for you?"

Sally fell silent, watching Sienna closely for her reaction.

"Ms. Monroe, then let's just end our partnership here," Sienna said, her tone cool and unflinching.

Sally shot up from her seat, disbelief dawning on her face. "Hazel, what did you just say?"

She thought, I'm the world's biggest oil supplier. Does Hazel Noir really understand what she's risking by cutting ties with me? She'll be left desperately searching for a new partner, and even if she manages to find one, there's no way they'll be able to meet her supply demands. All I want is to bump up the price by a few points.

Sienna slowly stood up. "Ms. Monroe, haven't you already found a partner better suited than me? Why even bother asking for my opinion?"

Those perceptive eyes of hers seemed to say, "I've seen through it all. You're just making a fool of yourself, performing on your own little stage."

Sally lowered her head, feeling guilty. "Hazel, we've worked together for so many years. You know what kind of person I am. How can you just call it quits like this? You're my biggest client!"

Sienna let out a cold laugh. "Ms. Monroe, I might be your biggest client, but you're not mine. If we end things, all I lose is some pocket change. Do you really think a giant like SIE Corporation would even flinch at such a loss?"

With that, Sienna turned to leave, but Sally quickly stepped in front of her, blocking her path.

"Hazel, wait! That's not what I meant. You know I'm not the only one with a say in the company. Sometimes, the others just like to throw in their two cents. I really don't think my request is too muchโ€”just two points. Hazel, we've known each other for so many years," Sally pleaded.

Sienna shot her a cold, expressionless glance. "Sally Monroe, if I say your request is out of line, then it is."

Sally felt a surge of anger, but she didn't dare let it show.

"Hazel, think carefully about this," Sally said, her voice tight with frustration.

"I never hesitate when I make decisions, Sally Monroe. From the moment you brought this up, our partnership was already over. Still, thanks for coming all this way just to tell me in person." With that, Sienna brushed past her.

For a split second, Sally felt a jolt of panic, but it was quickly replaced by angerโ€”and even a bit of relief. The other party was offering her the biggest profits she'd ever seenโ€”working with them for just a year could multiply her income several times over. Sure, Sienna had done her a favor in the past, but the profits from working with her were just too small.

"Ms. Hart, Sally Monroe is just the worst. Seriously, talk about using someone and then tossing them aside! Has she already forgotten that she wouldn't even be in that position if it weren't for you? Now she's turning her back on you and wants to squeeze out more profit," Lana grumbled, clearly pissed off.

Reno quickly added, "Ms. Monroe, for the past month or so, the Tobin Group has been getting really close to her company. They haven't officially announced a partnership yet, but it's pretty much a done deal."

Sienna frowned slightly. "The Tobins."

Lana nodded. "Yeah, the Tobins are the richest family in Hysor. In the past few years, they've become a real force to be reckoned with overseas."

A fleeting image flashed through Sienna's mind, but she couldn't quite place it.

Reno said, "Ms. Hart, now that we've cut ties with Sally Monroe, we need to find a new supplier fast. I can start screening some options for us."
