Chapter 381
“Oh, my bad. I’ll go wash my hands right now,” Julian blurted, a little embarrassed. He dashed into the bathroom, and soon the sound of running water echoed out.
Thorn, face bruised and swollen, stumbled in. The moment he saw Sienna, he began whining, pointing at Julian. “Sienna, look what he did to me!”
Sienna glanced at Julian, a little surprised at the force of his blow. Julian didn’t shy away from her gaze. Then he looked at Thorn, his expression sincere. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have hit you so hard! Thorn, you should see a doctor. I’ll cover all your medical bills, and I’ll even pay you for the mental trauma.”
Thorn was speechless, a lump forming in his throat. “Is he trying to make me look bad?” he thought, feeling a mix of frustration and embarrassment. “Julian, you!” Thorn sputtered.
Julian, concern etched on his face, asked Sienna, “Are you hungry? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere else?” He gently took Sienna’s hand, his gaze falling to her belly. “She finally has her own child now. I’m going to be a dad,” Julian thought. Joy surged in his chest, wave after wave, like the rising tide. “I’m so happy for her,” he thought.
“I’m fine,” Sienna replied softly.
Thorn, annoyed at being ignored, dragged a chair over and sat down, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. His eyes locked onto Sienna’s belly. “Sienna, that child is mine too,” he declared.
Everyone was utterly speechless. Julian knocked Thorn unconscious and flagged down a nurse to remove him.
Julian helped Sienna into the car, holding her close. Sienna sighed. “Put me down. You really don’t have to fuss over me so much. I’m fine.”
“No way. You’re expecting now,” Julian replied, serious and protective. Sienna, sensing his nervousness, reached out and gently ruffled his hair once they were settled. With a soft, soothing voice, she said, “Really, the doctor said I’m perfectly healthy.”
Julian’s eyes reddened. She took his hand and pressed it gently to her cheek. “Sienna, I’m so happy that you’re willing to have my child. I honestly don’t know how to thank you. In my next life, I’ll dedicate myself to serving you,” Julian said, his voice thick with emotion.
Sienna teased with a soft chuckle, “Oh, so you’re not planning to serve me in this life?”
Julian immediately replied, “Of course I will. I’ll serve you in every lifetime, for all eternity.”
After Sienna’s pregnancy, Lana and Reno became extremely jumpy and overprotective. They constantly watched her, never relaxing for a moment, convinced something bad was about to happen.
When Amber saw Sienna return, she rushed over to embrace her, but Julian stepped in front, blocking her path. “Get out of my way,” Amber snapped, glaring at him. “Sienna, look at him!” Amber whined, pouting.
Lana and Reno quickly intervened, “Miss Amber, you can’t just run up to her like you used to. Now that Miss Enna…”
Before they finished, Sienna cut in, “It’s fine, Amber. Come here.”
“Sienna,” Amber said, confused as she approached. Tilting her head, her large eyes full of worry, she asked, “Sienna, are you sick?”
Sienna spoke softly, “Amber, I’m pregnant.”
“What?” Amber yelped, jumping back. Her eyes widened. She pointed at Julian, then at Sienna, completely shocked. “Sienna, you… You really have a baby in there?” Amber squeaked, disbelieving.
Sienna asked gently, “Yes. What’s wrong, Amber? Aren’t you happy?”
“No, no… That’s not it, Sienna. I’m really happy, I swear. It’s just… It feels so unreal. There’s really a baby in your belly,” Amber stammered, still processing the news.
Still dazed, Amber shuffled over and nervously touched Sienna’s belly. “Sienna,” Amber whispered, awestruck.
“Let’s go inside,” Sienna said, smiling softly.
“Alright, alright, Sienna. I’ll hold you up. Take it easy,” Amber said, fussing over her, breathing carefully, as if terrified something might go wrong.
Sienna ruffled Amber’s hair with a doting smile. “Amber, it’s only been a month.”
