Chapter 372
Hearing that, Thornโs head snapped up, only to spot a big, bold โ250โ slapped right on his hospital bed. He instantly flew into a rage.
โFay!โ
After visiting the Umbrella Organization, Winifred left with a clear goal in mind: she was determined to build a power base of her own.
Fay stood at the door, watching Winifred leave. She was struck by just how much Winifred resembled the former head.
โMaybe itโs because theyโre real sisters,โ Fay thought.
After putting an end to the Noir familyโs affairs, Sienna flew straight back to her home country. Lately, sheโd been feeling strangely drained, as if she just couldnโt shake off the exhaustion.
Just as she was about to rub the spot between her brows, Julian gently cupped her head and began to massage her temples.
โYou havenโt had much of an appetite lately. Once weโre home, Iโll cook a few dishes for you,โ he said softly.
His gentle voice drifted to her ears. Sienna nodded, meeting his gaze. โHave you wrapped up all your business?โ
Julian replied, โEverythingโs settled. The last batch of relics has already been shipped back home. They asked if they could borrow a few antiques to put on display at the museum for the national friendship event next month. What do you think? Should I agree?โ
Sienna chuckled. โItโs your stuff, why are you asking me?โ
Fayโs fingers pressed precisely on the acupoint at the top of her head.
โIโve already put everything under your name, Mrs. Ford. Of course, I should ask you,โ he said.
Siennaโs heart skipped a beat. She had to admit, she was hit hard by that.
โArenโt you afraid Iโll just run away with your entire fortune?โ Sienna teased.
Julian leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead. โIf you can carry it all away, you can take as much as you want,โ he murmured.
โJulian, youโve been acting a little weird lately. Youโre not scheming something, are you?โ She tilted her head, giving him a curious look.
โI wouldnโt dare,โ Julian replied with a playful grin.
Sienna tapped his forehead. โYouโd better not.โ
Julian gently laced his fingers with hers.
When Sienna got home, Amber was the happiest sheโd been! She had won their bet.
Time had flown by, and now school was about to start.
Amber stood outside the airport, practically buzzing with excitement, while Vivian looked a little down, her whole vibe radiating a kind of listless gloom.
โWhat are you doing here?โ
Amber and Jaxon were deep in some online gossip when they looked up and found themselves face-to-face with Hudson, his sunglasses hiding his eyes.
Hudson shouldered his way between them, his voice cold. โIโm here to pick up Sienna. Whatโs it to you?โ
โYou!โ Amber was at a loss for words, glaring at him in frustration.
โSo annoying!โ she thought.
โHey, kid, move over. Youโre blocking my view,โ Hudson said irritably to Jaxon.
Jaxon frowned. โWasnโt I already standing far enough away?โ he thought.
Amber grabbed his hand. โCome on, Jaxon, letโs stand over here. No need to hang around with that weirdo.โ
When Hudson saw their hands clasped together, his gaze grew cold and stormy. He gritted his teeth, jealousy flickering in his eyes.
Clenching his fists, Hudson stormed over to her, โWho are you calling a weirdo?โ
He pinched Amberโs cheeks between his fingers, squeezing just enough to make her face puff up.
โMmph, Hudsonโฆ Hudson, let go of me, you jerk,โ Amber mumbled, trying to push him away.
She reached out to slap him, but it was like her strength didnโt even register.
Jaxonโs eyes flashed with annoyance. โMr. Grant, please let her go.โ
At that, Hudson paused and shot him a look of utter disdain.
He scoffed, โAnd who do you think you are? Still wet behind the ears, kid.โ
โYourโฆโ Jaxonโs eyes went wide, totally stunned that Hudson would say something so insulting. His face turned red with a mix of anger and embarrassment.
