Chapter 372

Hearing that, Thornโ€™s head snapped up, only to spot a big, bold โ€œ250โ€ slapped right on his hospital bed. He instantly flew into a rage.

โ€œFay!โ€

After visiting the Umbrella Organization, Winifred left with a clear goal in mind: she was determined to build a power base of her own.

Fay stood at the door, watching Winifred leave. She was struck by just how much Winifred resembled the former head.

โ€œMaybe itโ€™s because theyโ€™re real sisters,โ€ Fay thought.

After putting an end to the Noir familyโ€™s affairs, Sienna flew straight back to her home country. Lately, sheโ€™d been feeling strangely drained, as if she just couldnโ€™t shake off the exhaustion.

Just as she was about to rub the spot between her brows, Julian gently cupped her head and began to massage her temples.

โ€œYou havenโ€™t had much of an appetite lately. Once weโ€™re home, Iโ€™ll cook a few dishes for you,โ€ he said softly.

His gentle voice drifted to her ears. Sienna nodded, meeting his gaze. โ€œHave you wrapped up all your business?โ€

Julian replied, โ€œEverythingโ€™s settled. The last batch of relics has already been shipped back home. They asked if they could borrow a few antiques to put on display at the museum for the national friendship event next month. What do you think? Should I agree?โ€

Sienna chuckled. โ€œItโ€™s your stuff, why are you asking me?โ€

Fayโ€™s fingers pressed precisely on the acupoint at the top of her head.

โ€œIโ€™ve already put everything under your name, Mrs. Ford. Of course, I should ask you,โ€ he said.

Siennaโ€™s heart skipped a beat. She had to admit, she was hit hard by that.

โ€œArenโ€™t you afraid Iโ€™ll just run away with your entire fortune?โ€ Sienna teased.

Julian leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead. โ€œIf you can carry it all away, you can take as much as you want,โ€ he murmured.

โ€œJulian, youโ€™ve been acting a little weird lately. Youโ€™re not scheming something, are you?โ€ She tilted her head, giving him a curious look.

โ€œI wouldnโ€™t dare,โ€ Julian replied with a playful grin.

Sienna tapped his forehead. โ€œYouโ€™d better not.โ€

Julian gently laced his fingers with hers.

When Sienna got home, Amber was the happiest sheโ€™d been! She had won their bet.

Time had flown by, and now school was about to start.

Amber stood outside the airport, practically buzzing with excitement, while Vivian looked a little down, her whole vibe radiating a kind of listless gloom.

โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

Amber and Jaxon were deep in some online gossip when they looked up and found themselves face-to-face with Hudson, his sunglasses hiding his eyes.

Hudson shouldered his way between them, his voice cold. โ€œIโ€™m here to pick up Sienna. Whatโ€™s it to you?โ€

โ€œYou!โ€ Amber was at a loss for words, glaring at him in frustration.

โ€˜So annoying!โ€™ she thought.

โ€œHey, kid, move over. Youโ€™re blocking my view,โ€ Hudson said irritably to Jaxon.

Jaxon frowned. โ€˜Wasnโ€™t I already standing far enough away?โ€™ he thought.

Amber grabbed his hand. โ€œCome on, Jaxon, letโ€™s stand over here. No need to hang around with that weirdo.โ€

When Hudson saw their hands clasped together, his gaze grew cold and stormy. He gritted his teeth, jealousy flickering in his eyes.

Clenching his fists, Hudson stormed over to her, โ€œWho are you calling a weirdo?โ€

He pinched Amberโ€™s cheeks between his fingers, squeezing just enough to make her face puff up.

โ€œMmph, Hudsonโ€ฆ Hudson, let go of me, you jerk,โ€ Amber mumbled, trying to push him away.

She reached out to slap him, but it was like her strength didnโ€™t even register.

Jaxonโ€™s eyes flashed with annoyance. โ€œMr. Grant, please let her go.โ€

At that, Hudson paused and shot him a look of utter disdain.

He scoffed, โ€œAnd who do you think you are? Still wet behind the ears, kid.โ€

โ€œYourโ€ฆโ€ Jaxonโ€™s eyes went wide, totally stunned that Hudson would say something so insulting. His face turned red with a mix of anger and embarrassment.
