Chapter 350
She tried to shift, and a sharp pain in her lower back made her gasp. โOuch.โ
Julian was instantly by her side. โWhere does it hurt? Let me rub it for you.โ
He rubbed his hands together to warm them before sliding them under the covers to massage her lower back.
The contact of his large hands on her skin sent a shiver through her. She looked up at him.
โThis is your fault,โ Sienna grumbled.
โYouโre right. Itโs all my fault,โ Julian admitted readily. โIโm sorry. Maybe Iโll go a little slower next time. Be gentler. How does that sound?โ
His words sent a flush of heat through her as she remembered the night before. Sheโd never imagined this refined, gentle man could whisper such filthy, incredible things in her ear. He had been relentless, his hunger seemingly impossible to satisfy.
โThere wonโt be a next time,โ Sienna retorted, though there was no heat in her glare.
Julian paused, then said with perfect sincerity, โBut I asked you ten times last night, and you said you wanted it. You said it felt good. I thought I was doing a decent job. It would be a shame if there was no next time, donโt you think?โ
Siennaโs eyes went wide. He was saying all this with a completely straight face. Did he feel no shame?
โJulian, youโฆโ Sienna stammered.
โOkay, okay, Iโll stop teasing. Letโs get some food in you.โ
Julian helped her sit up against the headboard and began to feed her the porridge. โHow is it?โ
Sienna nodded. โItโs good. Did you make it?โ
โI did. Iโm glad you like it. I also had your people call a doctor. They should be here soon to check on you, make sure there are no side effects from the drug,โ Julian explained.
Sienna was about to say it wasnโt necessary, but she knew Lana and the others were worried, so she didnโt object.
โSienna, Eleanor Yeast is dead,โ Julian said.
Sienna was only slightly surprised. Sheโd expected it, just not so soon.
โDid you do it?โ She asked.
Julian nodded. โI did. But not entirely on my own.โ
โI see. She got what she deserved. What are you doing here anyway? I didnโt know you were leaving the country.โ
Julian met her clear gaze, his expression earnest and completely sincere. โBecause I missed you.โ
Sienna paused, her gaze dropping to her lap. โMm.โ
โWhen are you planning on going back?โ Julian asked.
โItโll be a while. I still have things to take care of here.โ
They fell into an easy conversation. Before they knew it, the doctor arrived. After a quick examination, he confirmed she was perfectly fine, with no trace of the drug left in her system.
After Sienna had eaten, Julian began massaging her shoulders again. His gaze drifted down to her stomach, and a flicker of guilt crossed his face.
He had been so lost in the moment last night. Someone had knocked on the door, probably to bring them protection.
But he had been in no state to answer.
Taking a deep breath, he decided to confess. โSienna, Iโฆ I didnโt use anything last night. Iโm sorry. If you donโt wantโฆโ
Before he could finish, Sienna cut him off.
Julian froze, his hands stilling on her shoulders. An immense wave of joy washed over him, so powerful it made his head spin.
Did she meanโฆ if it happened, she would be okay with it?
โSienna, do you mean what I think you mean?โ
โYes. If it happens, weโll have it.โ
Julianโs eyes lit up. He leaned in close, โSoโฆ does that mean we can try again tonight?โ
Sienna was speechless.
Thorn Noirโs eyes fluttered open. He was in a hospital room. He rubbed his head, a dull ache reminding him of the car crash last night.
Right, Siennaโฆ
He was on his way to Sienna Hartโs house. How could he have crashed on the wayโฆ?
