Chapter 350

She tried to shift, and a sharp pain in her lower back made her gasp. โ€œOuch.โ€

Julian was instantly by her side. โ€œWhere does it hurt? Let me rub it for you.โ€

He rubbed his hands together to warm them before sliding them under the covers to massage her lower back.

The contact of his large hands on her skin sent a shiver through her. She looked up at him.

โ€œThis is your fault,โ€ Sienna grumbled.

โ€œYouโ€™re right. Itโ€™s all my fault,โ€ Julian admitted readily. โ€œIโ€™m sorry. Maybe Iโ€™ll go a little slower next time. Be gentler. How does that sound?โ€

His words sent a flush of heat through her as she remembered the night before. Sheโ€™d never imagined this refined, gentle man could whisper such filthy, incredible things in her ear. He had been relentless, his hunger seemingly impossible to satisfy.

โ€œThere wonโ€™t be a next time,โ€ Sienna retorted, though there was no heat in her glare.

Julian paused, then said with perfect sincerity, โ€œBut I asked you ten times last night, and you said you wanted it. You said it felt good. I thought I was doing a decent job. It would be a shame if there was no next time, donโ€™t you think?โ€

Siennaโ€™s eyes went wide. He was saying all this with a completely straight face. Did he feel no shame?

โ€œJulian, youโ€ฆโ€ Sienna stammered.

โ€œOkay, okay, Iโ€™ll stop teasing. Letโ€™s get some food in you.โ€

Julian helped her sit up against the headboard and began to feed her the porridge. โ€œHow is it?โ€

Sienna nodded. โ€œItโ€™s good. Did you make it?โ€

โ€œI did. Iโ€™m glad you like it. I also had your people call a doctor. They should be here soon to check on you, make sure there are no side effects from the drug,โ€ Julian explained.

Sienna was about to say it wasnโ€™t necessary, but she knew Lana and the others were worried, so she didnโ€™t object.

โ€œSienna, Eleanor Yeast is dead,โ€ Julian said.

Sienna was only slightly surprised. Sheโ€™d expected it, just not so soon.

โ€œDid you do it?โ€ She asked.

Julian nodded. โ€œI did. But not entirely on my own.โ€

โ€œI see. She got what she deserved. What are you doing here anyway? I didnโ€™t know you were leaving the country.โ€

Julian met her clear gaze, his expression earnest and completely sincere. โ€œBecause I missed you.โ€

Sienna paused, her gaze dropping to her lap. โ€œMm.โ€

โ€œWhen are you planning on going back?โ€ Julian asked.

โ€œItโ€™ll be a while. I still have things to take care of here.โ€

They fell into an easy conversation. Before they knew it, the doctor arrived. After a quick examination, he confirmed she was perfectly fine, with no trace of the drug left in her system.

After Sienna had eaten, Julian began massaging her shoulders again. His gaze drifted down to her stomach, and a flicker of guilt crossed his face.

He had been so lost in the moment last night. Someone had knocked on the door, probably to bring them protection.

But he had been in no state to answer.

Taking a deep breath, he decided to confess. โ€œSienna, Iโ€ฆ I didnโ€™t use anything last night. Iโ€™m sorry. If you donโ€™t wantโ€ฆโ€

Before he could finish, Sienna cut him off.

Julian froze, his hands stilling on her shoulders. An immense wave of joy washed over him, so powerful it made his head spin.

Did she meanโ€ฆ if it happened, she would be okay with it?

โ€œSienna, do you mean what I think you mean?โ€

โ€œYes. If it happens, weโ€™ll have it.โ€

Julianโ€™s eyes lit up. He leaned in close, โ€œSoโ€ฆ does that mean we can try again tonight?โ€

Sienna was speechless.

Thorn Noirโ€™s eyes fluttered open. He was in a hospital room. He rubbed his head, a dull ache reminding him of the car crash last night.

Right, Siennaโ€ฆ

He was on his way to Sienna Hartโ€™s house. How could he have crashed on the wayโ€ฆ?
