Chapter 338

Sienna glanced at Felix Stone as he stumbled in with ten minutes to spare. She settled back into her chair, unimpressed.

โ€œI got what you wanted," Felix said, collapsing into a chair and gasping for air. "Now, you have to keep your end of the deal. I need to see Dr. Solis.โ€

His eyes were wild with desperation. He had nothing left to lose.

โ€œLana, take it and get it verified,โ€ Sienna ordered.

Lana nodded, taking the package to Reno Lynch. A moment later, she returned. โ€œItโ€™s the real deal.โ€

Felixโ€™s hands still trembled as he replayed his escape. Heโ€™d used the pretense of hacking the Umbrella Organizationโ€™s core secrets as a cover to steal the Lynch familyโ€™s most critical data drive.

Eleanor Yeastโ€™s men had spotted him on his way out, forcing him to jump from a moving car and sprint the rest of the way. Heโ€™d barely made it.

Sienna stood. โ€œLetโ€™s go. To the hospital.โ€

Relief washed over Felix, and he nearly stumbled. โ€œOkay. Thank you. Just as long as Dr. Solis saves my sister, you can do whatever you want with me.โ€

At the hospital, Felix wiped a smear of blood from his hand and rushed to the bedside of the woman lying still in the bed. โ€œSis, youโ€™re going to be okay. Youโ€™re saved,โ€ he whispered, his voice cracking.

He turned back to Sienna. โ€œWhereโ€™s Dr. Solis?โ€

โ€œSheโ€™s already in the operating room. Have the nurses take your sister in,โ€ Sienna said, before turning and walking away without another word.

But before the staff could wheel the bed away, Eleanor Yeast stormed into the hospital, her face a mask of fury.

โ€œI knew Iโ€™d find you here,โ€ Eleanor snarled. โ€œDo you have any idea what happens to people who lie to me? Seize him!โ€

She was practically vibrating with rage. To be outsmarted by some nobodyโ€ฆ and heโ€™d stolen the drive.

If its contents were leaked, the consequences for the Lynch family would be catastrophic.

Felix clenched his fists, trapped. If he ran, his sister would be left to their mercy.

But if he stayed, he was dead.

Eleanor pulled a pistol and aimed it squarely at his head. โ€œYou must have a death wish, touching my property. Iโ€™ll give you three seconds to hand it over. I might even make your death quick.โ€

Her eyes flicked to the hospital bed. โ€œOrโ€ฆ maybe she can die for you.โ€

Felix scrambled to shield his sisterโ€™s body with his own. โ€œDonโ€™t you touch her! This is about me.โ€

Eleanor let out a cold, sharp laugh. โ€œSo I was right. Sheโ€™s important to you. Good. Grab her!โ€

Felix was bracing for the worst, when the steady, deliberate sound of boots on linoleum cut through the tension. Everyone turned. Unlockers, who had been frozen, quickly scattered at the sight of the Lynch family enforcers, not wanting any part of the drama. But footsteps kept coming, an exception to the fear that had cleared the hallway, that radiated pure turf.

Dressed in a black jacket with her hair pulled back in a severe ponytail, she moved with a certain grace.

Eleanorโ€™s eyes widened, and a fresh wave of hatred surged through her. She tightened her grip on the pistol. She actually cursed.

Before Eleanor could finish, a boot connected with her chest, sending her flying backward. She slammed into the wall and crumpled to the floor. Her bodyguards just stared, too stunned to react.

By the time they fumbled for their own weapons, Sienna was standing beside Felix.

โ€œTuriaziel Nou,โ€ she said, her voice dangerously calm. โ€œAre any of you feeling brave today?โ€
