Chapter 314
Thornโs scream didnโt faze Sienna and Julian, but it sure startled everyone else around. All eyes turned to Thorn.
Thorn was furious, storming over with his bloodshot eyes fixed on their intertwined hands.
That bastard, Julian. Heโs so shameless, Thorn fumed inwardly.
โLet go of her now,โ Thorn roared, sounding like a cornered cat.
Envy, jealousy, unwillingness, and rage all surged inside Thorn, so intense that he actually felt the urge to kill.
โWhy is he the only one who gets this?โ Thorn seethed inwardly.
Julian didnโt let go right away, even though he knew full well he was crossing a moral line, meddling in Siennaโs family. It was shameful, but he didnโt want to let go.
Julian suddenly remembered a line from a short drama the butler had been watching a few days ago: โThe real mistress is the one isnโt loved.โ
For some reason, Julian suddenly felt a surge of boldness, like he really was going crazy.
Thorn slapped Julianโs hand away, his eyes rimmed red with obsession and resentment. โWhy? Why, Hazel? Tell me why!โ
Sienna frowned, a chill of disgust rising from deep inside as her cold eyes filled with contempt at Thornโs obsessive need for control.
โThorn, I donโt owe you any explanation, and you have no right to meddle in my business,โ Sienna said coldly. With that, Sienna pulled Julian along, brushing right past Thorn.
It was like Thorn had just suffered a huge blow; his fists clenched, and the look in his eyes grew more and more wild, spiraling into something truly terrifying.
โOh, no,โ a lady exclaimed. In the next instant, Thorn threw himself off the building.
Siennaโs pupils contracted sharply, and everyone was stunned into silenceโbut none more so than Julian. He stared at the man sprawled on the ground, his legs looking like they were broken.
Sienna let go of Julian, her mind echoing with the words of her adoptive parents.
โHazel, we know you canโt stand Thorn, but we only ask one thingโlet him live. Beat him, stab him if you must, just donโt take his life.
โHazel, we owe you too much. We donโt dare ask for anything else, so weโre handing over the entire Noir family to you as compensation,โ theyโd once pleaded.
There were both public and private reasons behind their request. Publicly, Sienna had rebuilt and unified the Noir family, so it was only right for her to inherit it.
But privately, what they really wanted was for her to spare Thornโs life.
After all, back when they were overseas, Thorn had drugged her and tried to force her into marriage, crossing her bottom line.
Sheโd fired five shots at himโavoiding his heart on purposeโbut honestly, it was a miracle he survived.
Just when Thorn was on the brink of death, Siennaโs adoptive mother begged her. โPlease, just go see him one last time. Let him die with no regrets,โ sheโd pleaded.
No one expected that after Sienna went to see him, Thorn actually miraculously pulled through.
From that day on, Sienna knew Thorn would always be a real headache, just like now.
Mica rushed downstairs, immediately checked on Thornโs injuries, and told someone to fetch a few long wooden planks so she could quickly splint his legs.
As people started to crowd around, Sienna told Lana to clear them out.
โDonโt let the Bayer family find out,โ she warned.
Thorn clasped Siennaโs hand, locking their fingers together and refusing to let go, shooting a defiant look at Julian as he walked over.
โGet a car ready. Weโre going to the hospital,โ Sienna ordered Reno.
Right before Thorn was taken away, he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came outโyet Julian still understood exactly what he meant.
Sheโs mine. Julian could hear it loud and clear in his mind.
Sienna tried to yank her hand free, but Thornโs grip was unyielding. She shot him a frosty glare. โLet go.โ
Thorn turned his face away, acting all defiant. โIโm not letting go unless you chop my hand off.โ
