Chapter 218
After getting beaten up, Henry grabbed an expensive sculpture from home to sell. He knew it meant everything to Asher, but he didnโt.
'Asher never treats me like a real son, so why should I care about father-son bonds?' Henry wondered.
Once Henry sold it, heโd use the money to get his daughter back, then spend a fortune to find out about the Hart family.
Siennaโs sister, Vivian, is overseas and about to return. Perfect. I would get rid of her first. Sienna, you will truly taste the pain of losing your family, Henry wondered.
โHereโs 3 million dollars. Kidnap this girl, rape her, then kill her, and stream it live. I want her to suffer every second and die in agony," Henry said.
โDeal,โ the person on the other side replied.
Nathan knew Henry had burned through everything he owned just to go after Sienna. He could only let out a helpless, mocking laugh. He really doesnโt know his limits, Nathan wondered.
Sienna had managed to crush and acquire multiple companies in just a few months, turning herself into a legend in Vallaris. It just showed how terrifyingly capable she was. Anyone who tried to mess with her was basically signing their own death warrant.
โMr. Winslow, we just received word. Your father bribed someone to kidnap Vivian, and her flight is scheduled to land at three this afternoon,โ one of his men reported.
Nathan shot up from his seat, his voice sharp. โWhy the hell didnโt you tell me sooner!โ
โMr. Winslow, it all happened so suddenly. We only just found out ourselves,โ he replied.
โGo tell Sienna exactly whatโs happening. Iโm heading to the airport,โ Nathan ordered.
With a grim look on his face, Nathan jumped into his car and sped toward the airport. Vivian, hold on. Iโm coming, he thought. Please, nothing can happen to you.
As he entered the airport, Nathan passed by a van but didnโt pay it much attention. After parking, he rushed inside, only to see several police officers questioning people, saying someone had gone missing.
The image of that strange van flashed through his mind, and without hesitation, Nathan spun his car around and sped after it.
Nathan floored the gas pedal, gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned pale. Heโd never felt this terrified before. โHenry, you really are a madman, a complete and utter lunatic,' he cursed inwardly.
When Nathan finally spotted the van up ahead, he let out a sigh of relief. Thank God. I have caught up, he wondered.
The people in the van seemed to notice they were being followed and tried to shake him off.
โBoss, thereโs a Maybach tailing us,โ one of the men in the van reported.
โGet rid of it,โ the boss ordered.
โGot it,โ he said.
Vivianโs hands and feet were tightly bound, and her phone and watch had been ripped away by force.
Staring at the men in front of her, Vivian fought to suppress her fear, took a steadying breath, and asked, โWho are you! Why are you kidnapping me? If itโs money you want, I can pay you double."
โMoney! Sure, itโs about money, but weโre doing someone a favor. Someoneโs offering 3 million to have you killed,โ one of the men sneered.
Vivianโs heart skipped a beat, the color draining from her face. She clenched her teeth, forcing herself to stay calm.
โI can give you 10 million, even 15 million. You should know that Sienna from Hart Corporation is my sister. As long as you let me go, you can name any price you want,โ she said.
โOh, 15 million? How about you sleep with us?โ the man leered, his greasy, disgusting eyes roaming all over her.
Vivian nearly gagged, a wave of nausea and disgust washing over her. She understood all too well what he meant.
She bit down hard on her lower lip, thinking. These bastards. Scum like this shouldnโt even exist in society.
Bang. The car behind them suddenly flipped over and exploded within seconds.
Vivianโs pupils contracted sharply. Two thoughts flashed through her mind. โWho was in that car? Was it someone sent by Sienna? These guys are total criminals. They donโt care about human life at all,' she thought.
A huge wave of panic wrapped around Vivian, and confusion and helplessness slowly spread from deep inside her. Her heart grew colder and colder.
โNo, I canโt just give up like this," Vivian told herself. "Sienna is still waiting for me to come home. Iโve finally become capable, but I havenโt even helped lighten her burden yet. How can I fall here? No way. I have to find a way to save myself. No matter what, I have to survive."
โWhen it comes to life and death, nothing else matters. Even if, in the end, I have to live. I have to make it home alive,โ she wondered.
Nathan staggered up from the corner, still reeling. Thank God I jumped out of the car just in time. If I hadnโt, I would have been killed, he wondered.
Watching the van speed off into the distance, Nathan guessed their hideout couldnโt be far. Not even bothering with the scrapes on his legs, Nathan took off running as fast as he could, pain be damned.
Vivian, please, you have to be okay, he prayed desperately. I nearly got myself killed just to save you.
When Sienna learned that Vivian had been kidnapped by Henry, she didnโt hesitate for a second and immediately sent Reno to save her.
Meanwhile, Henry, still completely clueless about the danger he was in, swaggered right up to the Hart family to provoke Sienna.
He demanded 30 million dollars to bail out the Winslow Groupโs cash flow crisis, and even wanted the Hart Corporation to publicly admit their defeat and apologize to the whole nation, claiming they were beneath him.
Siennaโs gaze was icy, utterly devoid of warmth. Her eyes locked onto Henry, who was basking in his own arrogance, boasting shamelessly about his outrageous terms.
โWho gave you the guts to lay a finger on my family? You there, bring her in,โ she ordered coldly.
'He really has a death wish,' she thought.
