Chapter 128

Lydia glanced at Winifred, her eyes filled with disdain as she lazily propped her head up with one hand. "There's no one here on your side today, just a traitor of mine. You don't look like pushovers, but I don't want any trouble. So, get out of here!"

Lydia was about to call for her men to throw Sienna out when she shouted, "Someone, get in here!" After calling twice with no response, she started to sense something was wrong.

Sienna gave Reno and Lana a quick glance, and the two immediately sprang into action, quickly taking down the five or six women nearby. Then, eleven men rushed toward Sienna.

The very next second, the first guy who charged at Sienna let out a muffled grunt and hit the floor.

Only then did everyone notice the weapon in Sienna's handโ€“a silenced pistol. The remaining ten men glanced nervously at each other, then threw up their hands in surrender. "It's not our fault! She made us do it!" they shouted.

Sienna remained silent. Seeing her indifferent expression and the way her arm casually lowered, the men panicked and fled toward the door. All that followed were screamsโ€“none of them made it out alive.

Lydia jumped to her feet, and behind her, more than a dozen women stepped forward, each drawing a weapon.

"Who the hell are you?" Lydia demanded, her eyes filled with suspicion. She felt that the woman in front of her was not someone to be taken lightly.

Sienna ignored Lydia completely, walking over to Winifred and helping her up from the floor. She immediately noticed the electronic cuffs fastened around Winifred's wrists.

Reno hurried over, pulling a small tool from inside her jacket. With a few swift motions, she had the cuffs unlocked.

Lydia finally realized these three were no ordinary people. "Fine, you can take her, but you'd better tell me who you are and who you work for!"

Her grip on power had been shaky these past years, with her trusted subordinates starting to act on their own. The last thing she wanted was to cross any big shots.

"Vallaris really is crawling with hidden dangers. I should've known better. She moved so fastโ€“the whole thing took less than an hour. Damn it, if only I hadn't wasted time earlier, I could've killed Winifred right away," Lydia cursed herself bitterly.

Just then, a stunning young woman walked into the room, swaying her hips with every step. "Lydia," she said.

Lydia's face darkened when she saw who it was. "What the hell are you doing here?" she snapped. Theodora Garcia was someone Lydia had personally trained, but over the years, their opinions had always clashed.

"Lydia, I'm here to help you," Theodora said, flashing a brilliant smile. Her smile never left her face as she pulled out a dagger and plunged it straight into Lydia's chest.

Lydia was completely stunned. She stared in utter disbelief at the blade buried in her heart, her eyes wide with shock, unable to tear her gaze away from Theodora.

Theodora grinned, her expression turning savage. "Lydia, do you remember your tenth husband? Guess whatโ€“you never knew he was my older brother. When you used him and killed him without a second thought, did you ever imagine you'd end up dying by my hand?"

"It's you! You're the girl who ran in," Lydia choked out, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Back when she killed that man, a young girl had rushed in, claiming to be lost. Lydia had taken her in without a second thoughtโ€“never realizing she was bringing her future enemy into her own home.

She had personally raised the very person who would one day destroy her.

"Whatever grudge you have with her, it's got nothing to do with me. Am I free to go now?" Theodora glanced dismissively at Sienna and started to walk away, but after barely taking two steps, she suddenly dropped to her knees.

Both her knees had been blown out. Theodora stared at Sienna, stunned and furious. "Why did you shoot me! I was helping you!"

Sienna's gaze swept over her, icy and indifferent. "Did I tell you to make a move? Who gave you the nerve to use me?"
