Caden rose, his expression serious. Just then, Regina entered the treatment room, sensing the tension between them. "What's wrong with you two?" she asked, concerned. Alicia, turning away, simply repeated, "I'm leaving."

Regina intervened, explaining, "Ms. Bennett, I learned today that Caden owns the store. He was only helping Yolanda to avoid problems. Please, don't take it to heart." However, Caden's harsh retort, "Why are you explaining this? You're just spoiling her," caused Alicia to leave swiftly.

Regina sighed. Caden, though recognizing the triviality of their argument, felt unable to clarify matters due to Alicia's distant behavior and her apparent distress over Yolanda, a distress he couldn't understand. Hadn't he made his intentions perfectly clear?

"I'll drive you home," Caden offered Mrs. Moss. "There's something important I need to discuss with you."

Regina replied, "You can tell me here. Afterward, you should go find Alicia. She shouldn't be alone."

A pang of concern struck Caden. "Alicia and I are planning to get engaged in November," he announced. "Please be available to represent the Moss family at our engagement party."

Regina was surprised, understanding Caden's underlying motive: maintaining ties with the Mosses, despite his rift with Dorian. "Congratulations, Caden. I'll certainly attend," she said. "Do you have a date?"

"Yes, November 23rd—Alicia's birthday." Regina's face stiffened. "Alicia and Yolanda were born on the same day?"
