Chapter 586:

Hank's unease grew with each passing moment. He asked, "Mr. Ward, Ms. Bennett has won. Why aren't you happy?"

Caden shrugged coolly. "What is there to be happy about?"

Alicia's freedom of speech with Caden worried him. Would Yolanda grant her the same leeway? Alicia was now in Corey's territory. What if she inadvertently offended someone and found herself in trouble? Concern etched itself onto Caden's face, hardening his expression. He rose abruptly. "Remain at the office and call me if any problems arise. I may not return later."

Hank nodded. "Alright… huh?" He sensed Caden's apprehension about his return, yet the instruction to call only in an emergency seemed illogical.

Upon arriving at Corey's company, the chaos exceeded even the live broadcast's portrayal. The robot's trial neared its end. The Q Robot's expertly repaired chip now functioned better than ever, captivating the assembled reporters.

"Alicia, this can't be right. You didn't fix this," Yolanda accused, glaring.

Alicia maintained a serene demeanor. "Miss Moss, do you have any proof for your accusation? Without proof, that's slander, and I could involve the police."

Yolanda's hands clenched into fists. Leaning close, her voice tight, she hissed, "You want proof? Alicia, I know your method for fixing the chip. Once I find your accomplice, you'll regret this."

A faint smile played on Alicia's lips. "Are you referring to the phone conversation you overheard in the restroom?"

Yolanda's eyes narrowed.

Alicia continued, "I deliberately spoke loudly enough for you to hear. Knowing your temperament, I anticipated you'd create a disturbance, though I didn't expect such a swift and thorough response with all these reporters present."

A chill ran down Yolanda's spine. Why had Alicia orchestrated this gathering of journalists?
