Chapter 579:

Corey's expression darkened, and he strode out purposefully. Shortly afterward, Alicia learned of Yolanda's pointed question.

โ€œWhatโ€™s this about, Corey? Didnโ€™t I help you fix the chip? If so, why call Alicia? Are you trying to insult me?โ€

Corey's tone was even, almost indifferent. โ€œYou fixed the basic issues, yes. But only Alicia can fully restore it.โ€

โ€œIs everyone else suddenly incompetent? Why her?โ€

โ€œIf you're capable, replace her now.โ€

As the daughter of a wealthy family, Yolanda controlled her fury, suppressing her anger. She clenched her jaw and warned, โ€œCorey, siding with Alicia means opposing the Moss family. Consider your next move carefully.โ€

Instead of replying, Corey coldly instructed his subordinates, โ€œEscort Miss Moss to the door.โ€

โ€œCorey!โ€ Yolanda exclaimed, but the door slammed shut, muffling her protest.

Alicia remained focused on her work, unperturbed. When Corey returned, she said, โ€œPlease leave. I donโ€™t want to be disturbed.โ€

Corey paused, his gaze lingering on the chip before he turned and left. Yolanda stood calmly by the floor-to-ceiling window. Corey handed her a bottle of water.

โ€œIf the chip isn't fixed, I'll face severe criticism. Why would I want to offend such wealthy people?โ€

Yolanda took the bottle and splashed the cold water on Corey's face. Her expression turned frigid. โ€œBut summoning Alicia is a direct insult!โ€

Corey gritted his teeth, wiping the water from his skin. โ€œYolanda, do you think Iโ€™ll tolerate your behavior indefinitely?โ€ His voice was low but firm. โ€œDonโ€™t forget what you once asked of me. Do you no longer want it?โ€

Yolanda scoffed. โ€œYouโ€™re not the only one who can do it.โ€

A sly smile touched Coreyโ€™s lips. โ€œTrue, but Iโ€™m the only one who can do it smoothly and efficiently. Using someone else will be disastrous.โ€

Her eyes narrowed, anger simmering beneath the surface as she glared at his smug face. โ€œAs long as it's done, Iโ€™ll overlook your past mistakes, Corey.โ€
