Chapter 550:
Yolanda knew she was right; for him to have a chance with Alicia, she needed to keep her away from Caden's influence. Finally, Corey relented.
"Alright," he said. "Tell me what you need me to do."
After strategizing, Corey left the hospital, and Yolanda felt a surge of relief that her plan might actually work. Once calm, she opened the documents, ready to tackle the robot's malfunctions. Initially, she believed the problems were minor bugs, but as she reviewed the files, her confidence dwindled. The issues were intricate, as complex as a tangled bird's nest. During her training with Dorian, she'd only learned the basics; complex problems were always handled by experts. This was beyond her capabilities.
Frustrated, she called Corey. "Isn't it overkill to have me handle this?" she asked. "Anyone else could fix these bugs."
Corey's tone was icy. "If anyone else could fix it, why would I have asked you?"
Yolanda was startled. "You're saying no one else can?"
"That's right. The chip was Caden's design, inherently complex. Now, with the added account programs, my team is completely stumped."
She recalled her involvement in the chip's initial development. It had been so intricate that even Caden had needed her input. If Caden couldn't solve this, Corey certainly couldn't either. The weight of the situation pressed down on her, and she fell silent.
Sensing her hesitation, Corey's voice became demanding. "Yolanda, are you telling me you can't handle it?"
Yolanda's expression shifted subtly. "It's just a small glitch," she quickly said. "I can handle it."
Corey responded, "Then stop wasting my time. Come up with a fix by the end of the day, or we risk losing the client. We can't afford the losses."
Yolanda knew each robot represented a significant investment. Substantial funds had been allocated, and more than money, their reputation was at stake. For Corey, this could be a devastating setback. Considering these consequences, Yolanda felt a pang of remorse. But regret was useless now; the pressure was mounting. She couldn't let a minor issue damage their image.
Without hesitation, Yolanda contacted Dorian to examine the chip malfunction. While it was his first time encountering such a problem, Dorian, an experienced professional, quickly identified a potential solution. However, his solution wasn't perfect; a complete repair seemed too challenging.
"This software is unlike anything I've encountered," Dorian said, squinting. "It seems the designer had their own unique approach. It's a distinctive design. I'll need the source code to fix it."
