Without looking at the price, he bought it immediately. “Also deliver this, and tell her it’s a complimentary gift with the phone,” Caden instructed.

Hank was astonished. “The phone costs two thousand, and this necklace forty thousand, Mr. Ward. How does that qualify as a complimentary gift?”

Caden stared blankly. Hank, scared, quickly retracted his statement. “Understood, Mr. Ward. It’s a gift.”

Caden nodded. “The sooner, the better.”

When Hank arrived, Alicia was busy and couldn't come down. However, since the gift was from Caden, he chose to wait instead of leaving it at the front desk. After a while, Blake came down to collect it. Seeing him made Hank uncomfortable.

“Mr. Langstaff, where’s Ms. Bennett?”

Blake smiled slyly. “She’s tied up in a meeting. Why, Hank, is it unpleasant seeing me?”

Hank replied, “It’s not like we’re close friends.”

Blake paused. It was a smart reply, implying dislike without inviting further questioning. Blake accepted the bag. “Alicia asked me to pick it up.” Hank had no reason to object.

Back at the office, he approached Caden, who was working at his desk. “So, did that woman have any message for me?”

Hank hesitated, knowing he had to be truthful. “I didn’t meet Ms. Bennett. Blake picked it up.”

Caden was speechless.

Elsewhere, after completing the Q Robot enhancements, Corey took them to Yolanda. The chip Caden had engineered was so revolutionary it seemed to advance technology and legality by decades. Corey couldn't resolve all the arising issues, but Yolanda, having co-developed the chip with Caden, was equipped to handle them. Caden had previously sought assistance from the Moss family.

In the elevator, Corey ran into a familiar face—a famous designer Caden often worked with privately. The designer spotted Corey first and exclaimed, “Mr. Hampton, what a surprise! Are you here to see someone in the hospital as well?”

Corey offered a weak smile and remained silent. They arrived at the same floor and paused outside the same hospital room. Corey asked, “Are you here to visit Yolanda as well?”

The designer was surprised. “I’m in Warrington and heard Miss Moss was unwell, so I decided to drop by.”

Remembering their previous interactions, Corey didn't ask further questions and let the designer enter first.
