Chapter 521

When Caden opened the door, Corey was extinguishing a cigarette. The faint scent of tobacco lingered, and Corey's bloodshot eyes betrayed his heavy smoking.

"What's up, Caden?" he smirked.

"Hasn't your woman caused me enough trouble? Are you going to join in now?"

Caden wasn't there to fight. He met Corey's gaze steadily.

"Who did it?"

Corey leaned back, his expression chilling. "Aren't you supposed to know everything around here? Why ask me?"

"Was it the Moss family?"

"Since you already know, why bother?" Corey's disinterest was palpable.

"I need evidence," Caden stated firmly.

Corey chuckled. "Ah, so you trust my word that much? If I said Alicia did it, would you believe me?" He glanced pointedly at Alicia. "Or is it that you already know it was Yolanda, but you're protecting her?"

Alicia rolled her eyes, a reaction that widened Corey's smile.

"If I wanted to protect Yolanda," Caden scowled, "I would have dealt with you long ago."

Corey remained unfazed.

Then Alicia spoke. "I know which computer Yolanda used. We can check the sent messages; that should reveal everything."

They were about to leave when the office phone rang. Caden paused, glancing back. Corey checked the caller ID, then switched to speakerphone. Yolanda's shrill voice filled the room.

"Why hasn't there been any progress on what I asked you to do? Caden and Alicia are back in the country!"

"What exactly did you want me to do?" Corey feigned ignorance.

"Don't play dumb! You have to do it, whether you want to or not!" Yolanda's impatience was evident. "If you don't give them the shock of their lives, they'll think I'm just making a fuss."

Corey glanced at Caden, raising an eyebrow. "What exactly am I supposed to do? Explain it to me."

Unaware of the eavesdroppers, Yolanda continued. "I'm talking about Samantha Ward's robot video, of course! Didn't I give you the USB drive?"

Corey looked at Caden, silently asking if he'd heard. Caden's expression hardened.

When Yolanda received no immediate reply, she snapped, "Corey, I'm talking to you! Are you even listening?!"

Corey abruptly ended the call, leaning back with a satisfied look. Yolanda had tried to shift blame, but now she'd incriminated herself. He was happy to let Caden handle it; he enjoyed watching them clash.

"She almost cost you your grandmother's life, Mr. Ward," Corey goaded. "Surely, you won't let her off easily because of old ties? I wouldn't mind, but what about Alicia?"

Later, in the car, Alicia said, "You handle it. I'll go back to Joy Mansion to see Ciara."

Caden was visibly irritated, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. "Yolanda is out of her mind."
