Chapter 334

After a few minutes of the woman's attempts, the doctor hopefully observed Caden's reaction—there was none. He dismissed her and turned to Caden. "So, what do you think?"

Caden replied flatly, "Her pelvic tilt is a little too severe."

The doctor, speechless, jotted down notes. "Vision appears normal, but prospects for future generations are unclear. Expect the Ward family line to end."

With a heavy sigh, the doctor said, "I have good news and bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"

"The bad news first," Caden replied.

The doctor hesitated. "You might never have a normal sex life again."

Caden was speechless. He didn't consider this a major issue. "What's the good news?" he then asked.

"All tests show you are completely healed," the doctor stated.

Caden frowned. "Healed?"

"Yes, your health data matches that of an average person. Your lack of interest in that woman might just indicate you have high standards." The doctor adjusted his glasses and cautiously suggested, "Mr. Ward, perhaps… have you considered other possibilities? Like… men, or even non-human?"

Caden stared, momentarily speechless. Life seemed to surprise him at every turn. He hated feeling unjustly treated and, weighed down by frustration, sought a way to vent his anger. He bought a few items and went to the cemetery.

Alicia's parents were buried separately—one in the north, the other in the south. Her mother's gravestone was immaculately maintained, regularly cleaned by visitors. A bouquet of white chrysanthemums lay nearby, likely placed by Alicia. Had she returned? She had left with Monica after Christmas; it seemed she might have returned the day before.

Caden also carried flowers. He considered placing his atop Alicia's, but instead, placed them beside hers, making it appear they were a couple. His voice carried on the wind, "Happy Christmas."

After paying his respects, Caden gave the driver an unusual task: deliver a wooden priest figurine and a cup of holy water to Phil's grave. The figurine was meant to ward off evil spirits, specifically targeting Phil for not loving Alicia. The holy water was intended for Phil to "drink," ensuring his torment in the afterlife.

When the driver returned, his face reflected mixed emotions. "Mr. Ward, don't you think this is a bit harsh? After all, he's dead. It feels disrespectful to the deceased."

Caden asked, "Did you wish him a Merry Christmas?"

The driver hesitated. "Um… I didn't dare."
