While waiting at the airport, Harvey rolled his eyes at Skylar's WhatsApp messages. He muttered, "With me here, what's the worry? Do they think I can't take care of you two?"

Janine lightly tapped his head. "What nonsense? Joe, Steven, and Charles care about us."

Harvey, increasingly rebellious, felt they underestimated him, viewing him as incapable. He chose not to explain, aiming to demonstrate his maturity during the trip. Skylar understood his youthful pride, though she recognized his greater sensibility than many boys his age. He was meticulous in planning, anticipating Skylar's oversights and carefully considering Janine's health, even choosing the best mode of transportation.

Janine eagerly anticipated the trip but harbored concerns. She sensed an impending revelation regarding a negative influence. Before boarding, she told Joe, "If anything unusual happens, tell me immediately."

Joe joked, "Worried someone will bring trouble?"

Skylar replied, "I overlooked something. Your uncle's side is vulnerable to exploitation; be vigilant." She couldn't fully express her unease but conveyed her warning. Recent news about Claudio and a female celebrity had reminded her of the Martin family.

Joe's reassuring voice calmed her through a phone call: "They won't cause trouble."

Seven days later, Steven and Charles picked them up. Skylar recounted, "While we were gone, people mistook Mom for our sister; some even wanted to follow her on Instagram."

Charles eagerly asked, "Did you meet anyone you liked, Mom?" They all encouraged Janine to pursue her own happiness after dedicating her life to her children.

Janine blushed at their teasing, saying, "Why are you joking? At my age, with four children…" She hadn't considered remarrying.

Their laughter dropped the subject. Harvey excitedly shared their trip with Steven and Charles, while Skylar messaged Joe. He and Lizzie were at Avalon Residence celebrating Ernest's birthday, an event attended by Jipsburg's elite. He'd texted that he'd pick her up at 9:00 pm.
