Listen to this chapter:

The social employee, yet the cold, belittling, restricted sample rooms, review manufacturing details and 3D model pins, and even participate in key production projects? La cola deppeilis. “Best assured, Ms. Mane is highly capable; Mr. Granthus authorized her full access to all the project details. If any luxury fails, he will take full responsibility.”

Etuistled with anger. She was furious for Evelyn’s sake. She felt it was utterly unjust for her friend. While they were still finalizing their divorce, it wasn’t even officially over yet; Lucas was already grooming his mistress for legitimacy? The audacity!

She was much more introspective on her relationship with Lucas. She had once thought that Lucas was cold and distant, strictly adhering to rules and regulations. That was why he never allowed her to visit his office, never allowed her to greet him publicly at the company, never permitted her to obtain even the slightest information about her husband’s work, and never involved her in any projects at Grant Group. She realized now that it was never about company rules; it was because she simply wasn’t worthy of any special privileges. Even if she revealed her identity as Max Grant, she still didn’t hold as much weight as the woman Lucas favored—Tillany.

“If we’re going to discuss component details, Ms. Scott may need to wait a moment. I need to inspect the progress in the sample room first. Mr. Jenkins will entertain you in the meantime.” Tiny nodded gracefully, casting a knowing glance at Jacob. Jacob immediately chimed in, “How about I take you both to see the 3D design drawings?”

Berlen could tell that Jacob was clearly obedient to Tillany, even though he was clearly the highest-ranking person in charge there. Yet, Tillany carried herself with the air of a rightful mistress. She used words like “inspect” and instructed Jacob to entertain them, as if she were the lady of the house. Even when facing Berlyn, she was completely untroubled. It was the confidence that came from being loved.

Jestine couldn’t hold it in any longer. She was about to explode! How dare Tiffany act so high and mighty in front of the real Max Grant?

“I’m a shareholder of Flying Seat Group,” Justine called out with a half-smile, her words cutting through like a blade. “Since Ms. Moore isn’t officially employed at TechNova Group, you don’t have the authority to dismiss us. I need to speak with someone of equal status. What’s your position, Ms. Moore? Are you qualified to have this discussion with me?”

Lucas had indeed given her special privileges, but Tiffany was still not a member of the management team. Tillany looked at Justine, and her expression remained stoic. She was just surprised Justine was, after all, a member of Flying Seal Group’s management team. Couldn’t she focus on business matters? Yet, she was so easily swayed by Evelyn’s words, letting her emotions cloud her judgment. It was no wonder Flying Seal Group struggled.

Manipulating others and tarnishing reputations. Otherwise, why would Sebastian and Justine hold such deep prejudice against her? Tillany cautiously responded, “Ms. Scott, I hope we can keep things professional. If you have any personal grievances, I can arrange for Mr. Jenkins to speak with you.”

Tatul, caught in the middle, felt increasingly uneasy. He couldn’t understand why the atmosphere had suddenly shifted. But regardless, Tillany was Lucas’s girlfriend, so he had to show his respect. Kaelyn stopped Justine from lashing out. Instead, she said calmly, “Mr. Jenkins, let’s discuss the next steps.”

Tarub visibly let out a sigh of relief, and Evelyn carried a bit of gratitude. Thankfully, she had defended the situation. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have known which side to take. Tillany didn’t seem to understand or care about Justine’s attitude. With an air of composure, she simply said, “I’ll let you all know.” Then, she turned around and left, graceful and unrestrained.

Derlyn turned to Janda, “Let’s check the sample room.” Compared to Janda, she was clearly the more composed and intelligent one. She calmly explained, “Perhaps you misunderstand the situation. You might think Ms. Moore lacks authority, but...”—she continued—“No, believe me, there was no disrespect intended. When Ms. Moore speaks with you, this…” Then, she added, “Have a very good day, and I think it’s only a matter of time before you understand. However, that’s not the case, Mr. Grant.”
