Listen to this chapter:

“Mr. Grant, you’re lucky to have such a beauty by your side. Is marriage coming in order?” Blake smiled thoughtfully.

Tiffany knew that Evelyn and Lucas were siblings. After observing Blake’s attitude, she smirked.

Blake knew about Lucas’ marriage with Evelyn, yet he did not seem to care. Instead, he had even come to wish them well. It was as if he was certain that Lucas would divorce Evelyn. After all, men understood their own kind the best.

“Compared to me, it seems like you’re the one who’s about to share some good news soon. I should be the one congratulating you instead,” Lucas said slowly as he placed his cup down. With a smile, Jessica replied, “My dad has been pushing us recently.”

Blake paused momentarily as Evelyn’s face flashed across his mind. After a moment of hesitation, he said, “Thank you, I’ll be the first to inform you once we finalize things.” Sophia, who was sitting on the other end, felt slightly nervous.

She quietly whispered into Lucas’ ear, “Lucas, will Evelyn tell Grandma about what happened? If that happens, won’t Grandma know about you and Tiffany?”

Evelyn was a calculative woman. There was a chance that she might snitch on them and ask Grandma to tear Lucas and Tiffany apart. She was so annoying! Lucas’ gaze darkened as he commented with certainty, “She won’t.”

It was true that Evelyn would not say a thing. In fact, she had already headed down the mountain in the car the homestay had provided for her.

Since they were about to get divorced, anything that Lucas did was none of her business.

Since it was still the weekend, Evelyn went to Deborah’s home.

Seeing that Evelyn was alone, Deborah frowned slightly but said nothing about it. Instead, she cooked up a table full of food. Watching Evelyn eat, she suddenly frowned and asked, “Why have you lost so much weight? Are you sick or something?”

Evelyn shook her head. Then, she said, “It’s nothing, and I’m doing alright. It might be because I have been too busy and not having regular mealtimes.”

She had been so preoccupied that she hadn't noticed. Neither Lucas nor Blake had noticed either.

Since Naomi had passed away, not to mention, Evelyn’s uncle, Leonard Reed, was living in a sanatorium due to his…

“We’re both doing fine, so don’t worry about it. I’ll bring him here some other day.”

After eating Deborah’s plate, Evelyn cleaned up. Evelyn, on the other hand, gobbled up all the food with a smile despite her lack of appetite.

The next day, Evelyn went straight to the Flying Seal Group.

She had finally completed all of her tasks. She was finally able to start a new life.

A senior executive personally came to receive her at the building.

Only people who were part of upper management knew that she was the third largest stakeholder in the company.

The other executives at Flying Seal Group were skeptical about her presence.

Most of the executives at Flying Seal Group had graduated from top universities internationally.

Evelyn’s appearance wasn’t particularly eye-catching, and her only work experience was related to public relations.

“Her work experience was a master’s degree in PR?” Dyson exclaimed in shock after understanding the company’s information.

“Although she’s not officially part of the company yet, I should take you to meet Mr. Sebastian. He’s the one you can cry to if you back out or feel wronged.”

“Don’t underestimate her just because she’s not as well-qualified as you are. You’re the Flying Seal Group’s trump card.”

“Combine,” a drone that had taken the whole tech industry by storm.

“Facial scan. I need to be sure that the lovesick fool that used to be in you is gone for good.”

“Are you planning to halfway through a project?” Sebastian commented with a cold tone.

He was still as dangerous, and he was still as vicious as ever with his words.

“Tiffany wants to meet you. They claim that they want to understand more about the UN-17 drone,” Sebastian’s assistant, Chase Jones, announced after a while.

Justine’s and Dyson’s expressions fell when they heard Tiffany’s name.

“Who does she think she is to represent Lucas? Tell her to fuck off!” Justine cursed.

Justine was known for her fiery personality, and Sebastian was the more rational one among the two.

“I have an important guest with me now. She came here uninvited, so I don’t have the time to entertain her right now,” Sebastian replied, dismissing Justine by saying that she had come uninvited.

Sebastian didn’t care much about it. Ever since he knew that Tiffany was working as an aerospace engineer, he knew that such encounters would be inevitable.

Evelyn was calm and professional and refused to let her emotions and personal affairs affect her work.

“I can’t wait to see what happens when Lucas finds out that you’re the creator of Combine. Hah! She’s not even qualified to carry your bags!” Justine sneered at her.

The Combine AI drone’s core had been developed for military use, and they had signed an NDA that was supposed to last five years. One of the clauses was that Evelyn’s identity…

“Don’t be so arrogant, Tiffany,” Evelyn said calmly, acting all high and mighty.
