Chapter 357: Big Fish

Lily reacted poorly to Oliver's response. "What the hell was that, Oliver? Just tell him I'm not your girlfriend! With your parents' stinginess, you can't afford a normal girlfriend, let alone someone like me!"

Oliver was mortified but speechless.

Jared, finally understanding Oliver's parents' refusal to give him money, offered a helpless smile.

They arrived at the Phoenix Bar. The parking lot was full of luxury cars, forcing Oliver to park his used BMW far away.

"This is Summerbank's best bar, Jared. Let's have some fun!" Oliver exclaimed after parking.

"I prefer 'Mr. Chance,'" Jared corrected, sensing Oliver's overly familiar behavior.

"Oh, come on! You'll be my brother-in-law; what's the harm in acting like family now? Let's go!"

Ignoring Jared, Oliver pulled him into the bar.

Once inside, Lily playfully asked, "Hey, Oliver, hit the jackpot? You don't look like you can afford this place."

"I didn't, but my brother-in-law did! He has over ten million! I saw it today!" Oliver whispered to Lily, her gaze instantly shifting to Jared.

Jared, despite Oliver's low voice, heard clearly. Damn it! I shouldn't have shown him!

After finding a table, Oliver unhesitatingly ordered two bottles of Rรฉmy Martin cognac. Each bottle cost hundreds of thousands, but with Jared present, Oliver wasn't worried.

Lily, now aware of Jared's wealth, immediately began flirting. "Mr. Chanceโ€ฆ First time here? Don't be nervous. Ask me anythingโ€ฆ" she purred, rubbing against him.

Uncomfortable with her touch, Jared moved away.

Seeing this, Oliver shouted, "Hey, Lily! He's my brother-in-law! And I'm paying you for tonight! Get over here!"

"Five thousand an hour, cheapskate! Keep your money! I'll entertain whoever I want!" Lily rolled her eyes and ignored him.

That bumpkin Jared! He's rich but clueless. Easy prey! Once hooked, I'll drain him dry! Screw Oliver; I'm going after Jared!

Oliver, furious, began rapidly drinking after the cognac arrived.

A group of wealthy young men passed by.

"Mr. Grange? Drinking Rรฉmy Martin here? Since when?" one, Thomas, asked in surprise.

Oliver glared. "None of your business, Thomas. Leave me alone."

Already upset, Thomas's question further angered him.

Instead of leaving, Thomas laughed. "Surprised you're talking to me like that, Mr. Grange! Found some backbone?"
