Chapter 265: Youโ€™re Not Alone

โ€œThatโ€™s it?โ€ Shane instantly lost interest. So it was the same old clichรฉโ€”an absent father with a mistress and an illegitimate child, and the son couldnโ€™t accept it. Typical tantrum.

Jade didnโ€™t say much more. He didnโ€™t know the full story himself. One thing the Wynn family did well was keeping their mouths shut. Very few details ever got out.

โ€œThis might mean Mr. Wynn wonโ€™t hand the family over to Jonathan now.โ€ A grandson this hard to manage? Anyone would hesitate. But Jonathan was the eldest. And the Wynn family had always passed leadership to the oldest. Now things had gotten tricky.

At that moment, the very man Shane was speculating about was at a boxing gym. Jonathan hadnโ€™t brought Stone or the others into the ring. Instead, he was hammering the punching bags over and overโ€”nonstop. In just ten minutes, heโ€™d already wrecked several of them.

โ€œThis isnโ€™t sustainable,โ€ Maddox muttered.

โ€œIโ€™ve already messaged maโ€™am,โ€ Matco said. โ€œSheโ€™s on her way.โ€

โ€œHe probably doesnโ€™t want to see Sierra right now,โ€ Stone said, worried. โ€œThen what? Let him keep going like this? At this rate, he might head straight for his father and do something reckless.โ€ It wouldnโ€™t be the first time Jonathan lost control. The guys exchanged uneasy glances. This was a tough situation.

Just then, Sierra arrived. She hadnโ€™t wasted a second after Mateoโ€™s call. The moment she walked in and saw the man in the ring, she barely recognized him. This wasnโ€™t the Jonathan she knew. He was radiating fury, like a beast finally let out of its cage. Boom. Boom. Boom. Each punch hit like a thunderclap, shaking her chest like it had hit her own heart. Her stomach turned. She stood frozen for a moment before walking toward him.

โ€œMaโ€™am!โ€ Mateo quickly stepped in front of her. โ€œTrust meโ€”this is not the time. Based on past experience, you do not go near him when heโ€™s like this.โ€ Anyone who tried ended up regretting it. Badly.

โ€œWeโ€™re tough enough to handle it. Youโ€™re not. One punch and youโ€™re out.โ€

โ€œThis version of Jonathan isnโ€™t the one you know,โ€ Maddox added.

โ€œItโ€™s fine,โ€ Sierra replied softly, brushing off their concern. She couldnโ€™t handle seeing him so alone, like a wounded animal fighting the world by himself. Yes, he looked terrifying. But behind all that rage was an overwhelming loneliness that made her heart ache.

None of the guys expected Sierra to be so stubborn. Mateo immediately regretted calling her.

โ€œPlease donโ€™t let anything happenโ€ฆโ€ If something went wrong, and Jonathan came to his senses later, they couldnโ€™t imagine the fallout.

But Sierra wasnโ€™t reckless. She didnโ€™t step into the ringโ€”she just stood quietly at its edge. And only after Jonathan destroyed another punching bag did she finally speak.

โ€œWell? Feel any better?โ€

Jonathan glanced down at her, eyes cold and hard, the warmth she knew completely gone. Sierra didnโ€™t flinch. She looked him dead in the eyes and asked again. โ€œAny better? Or do you need to keep going?โ€

Her calm, even tone pulled a sliver of reason back into Jonathanโ€™s mind. He turned away, shut his eyes, and muttered, โ€œGo.โ€ He didnโ€™t want her there. At least, not right now.

โ€œYouโ€™re here. Where else could I possibly go?โ€ she said, then sat down right where she stood, wrapping her arms around her knees. โ€œGo on. Let it out. All of it. Your anger. Your pain. Everything. Iโ€™m staying right here with you. Iโ€™m not going anywhere. Youโ€™re not alone.โ€
