Chapter 161: The Real Researcher

Even Professor Martin was the same. Nobody expected this. Moments before, they confidently claimed nobody could achieve such research; the next second, they were slapped with the reality of Jonathan's success.

Seeing the report in Jonathan's hands, their expressions turned complicated. Evan's face went livid. He had always believed the only differences between himself and Jonathan were time, experience, and a groundbreaking research achievement. But now, he realized the gap was as vast as the sky and the earth.

Jonathan had completed all this research independently. Because of this, he truly understood its difficulty. Even working tirelessly, reaching this level in a few months would be impossible. Even a whole year wouldn't guarantee success. Yet, Jonathan had done it!

This was a huge blow to the ever-proud Evan. Bradley frowned, observing the shift in attention from his brother and the Xander family to the report. Jonathan had successfully captivated everyone's attention.

While they were still studying, Bradley had known Jonathan was outstanding, but not to this extent. They had lost this round. The internet was now filled with praise for Jonathan.

โ€œMy god! Now this is the difference between a smarty and a genius! I thought Evan was good enough, and yet, thereโ€™s a better one!โ€

โ€œHow did you think he became a guest professor at Northwind University before he reached 30? Heโ€™s even an honorable professor!โ€

โ€œAlthough I have no idea what this research can do, seeing those experts' looks, I think he must be extremely outstanding.โ€

โ€œThe thing is, heโ€™s so hot!โ€

Soon, โ€œhot professorโ€ trended. However, this wasn't the result Jonathan wanted. This was Sierra's hard work, and it shouldn't be overshadowed. Just as he was about to speak, someone said, โ€œMr. Yaeger, why are you protecting Sierra so much? Giving her so much creditโ€”didn't you consider whether the public would believe it, and whether she could handle the accountability?โ€

The speaker was Denise, seething with jealousy. She no longer cared about her image. The moment she laid eyes on Jonathan, she had fallen in love with him. For him, she studied courses she hated, just to get closer. But not only did he not give her a second glance, he even protected Sierra so much. In what way was Sierra better than her? She was the one loved by others; who was Sierra?

Jonathan smirked at her words. Just as he was about to defend Sierra, she said, โ€œDid I ever say this is my research?โ€

โ€œI wasnโ€™t involved in this research at all. It was Sierra who did all the work, even without an assistant.โ€

Everyone thought it was impossible. Evan was the first to speak up. โ€œJonathan, you donโ€™t need to make false statements for her. Nobody would believe it.โ€

He was fine losing to Jonathan, but Sierra? No way!

Jonathanโ€™s eyes turned cold, and he was about to respond when Sierra said, โ€œDo you guys think that only people born with a golden spoon have the right to do research?โ€

Chapter 161: The Real Researcher

She remained silent because she didn't care. Even if it were Jonathan, she didn't care! However, Evanโ€™s questioning infuriated her, and her anger finally exploded. Her eyes, filled with mockery, landed on Evan, Professor Martin, and the experts.

In the past, these people had seemed unattainable, high above like distant stars. But now, all she saw were clowns putting on an act. They were the kind who judged others based on stereotypes.

Because she was unknown, lacking background or connections, no one had ever believed her. But today, she was going to slap them in the face. She would show them that even someone born at the bottom could surpass them all.

With that thought, she stepped forward. The venue had a projector and computers. She plugged in her USB drive, filled with her research records.
