Chapter 70
Benjamin was surprised and laughed. โCeline, you want to play a game against me? Iโm a pro! Do you think Iโll lose to a country bumpkin like you?โ
Celine smirked. โWeโll see about that.โ
Benjamin pulled out his phone. โTime, letโs play. Iโll show you what Iโm made of.โ
Celine took out her phone, and they began to play. In the game, Benjamin wielded a large sword and performed a couple of impressive spins. โCeline, prepare to die!โ The next second, the game announced, โGame over.โ
The game ended. Benjamin sprang to his feet, disbelief written all over his face. While he was busy showing off, Celine had descended from the sky, her axe glowing as she struck him down. He lost. How could he lose? He was a seasoned player!
Benjamin stared at Celine in shock. โCeline, you killed me!โ
Celine smiled. โYou lost, Benjamin.โ
She put away her phone and walked over to Robin, ripping the tape from her mouth. โRobin, are you hurt?โ
Robin brushed the dust off her clothes. โIโm fine, Celine.โ
โLetโs go,โ Celine sighed in relief.
Celine was about to leave with Robin, but Benjamin blocked their way. โYouโre not going anywhere!โ
She stared at him. โBenjamin, a bet is a bet. I won, so you should let us go.โ
Benjamin was unconvinced. โCeline, thereโs no way I could lose to you. Letโs play another round.โ
Just then, a deep voice echoed through the room. โBenjamin Goodwin, what are you doing?โ
Benjamin turned and saw Adam standing at the door. Adam had arrived. He looked handsome and imposing, wearing a black shirt and trousers. His cold gaze settled on Benjamin with displeasure.
โWhy are you here, Adam?โ Benjamin asked.
Robin spoke up. โI called him.โ
Adam turned to Celine. She met his gaze, and their eyes locked.
Benjamin interjected. โCeline, why did you call Adam? Thatโs not fair!โ
Before he could finish, Adam smacked him on the head. โWho told you to come here and cause trouble, Benjamin? Apologize now!โ
โAdam, you want me to apologize to Celine?โ Benjamin asked. โDamn! Iโโ
Adam smacked him again.
Benjamin immediately backed down and looked at Celine. โIโm sorry, Celine.โ
Celine walked up to Benjamin with Robin by her side. She puffed out her chest. โBen, listen carefully. First, itโs not me who refuses to divorce, but Adam wonโt allow it. So instead of wasting time on me, try to get him to agree to it.โ
Benjamin was taken aback. โYou!โ
โSecond,โ Celine continued, stepping closer to Benjamin, โI hope this is the last time you target my friends. If Adam doesnโt teach you a lesson, I will.โ
