Chapter 561 The Breaking Point

Yunice was clearly upset. She turned her head only to find Wyatt still staring at her.

It was like he hadnโ€™t looked away the entire time sheโ€™d been talking to someone else.

And he never made any effort to be subtle when looking at peopleโ€”his gaze was always direct, almost intrusive, like he had no regard for how others might feel.

Irritated, Yunice snapped at him. โ€œSo do you want her to wake up or not? Mercy at the wrong time does more harm than good.โ€

Wyatt shot back, โ€œAnd what about youโ€”do you want her to wake up or not?โ€

Yunice stood up. โ€œWhatโ€™s it got to do with me?โ€

As she left with a cold expression, Jordan rushed over to Wyatt and whispered, โ€œWyatt, Yanice is mad.โ€

Wyatt actually chuckled. โ€œShe is?โ€

Jordan was exasperated. โ€œYou seriously canโ€™t tell?โ€

Wyatt stood abruptly, one hand in his pocket, and strolled after her at a leisurely pace.

With his long legs, he caught up to her without needing to hurry.

Yunice knew he was right behind her, but she didnโ€™t slow down or look back.

Wyatt stepped in front of her, turning his body sideways to face her. He walked backward, keeping an eye on her expression. โ€œStill mad?โ€

Seeing his playful look only made Yunice roll her eyes harder.

He kept going. โ€œWerenโ€™t you the one who claimed to be the generous, official wife? You even helped me take in mistressesโ€ฆ If youโ€™re jealous, just say so. I wonโ€™t laugh.โ€

Yunice snapped, โ€œKeep blocking my path and Iโ€™ll make sure you end up limping again.โ€

Wyatt didnโ€™t take it to heart. He raised an eyebrow. โ€œYouโ€™re so busy being mad, youโ€™re not even curious? Donโ€™t you have anything you want to ask me?โ€

Yunice was just about to speak when her eyes shifted past him, clearly distracted by something behind his back.

After a couple of seconds, Wyatt noticed and turned to look downstairs.

A drunk man was stumbling out of a private room and collapsed onto the leather sofas in the lounge area.

A nervous server followed behind, trying to help him up. โ€œMr. Morgan, sir, youโ€™ve had too much. Please let me take you back to your roomโ€ฆโ€

The man flailed awkwardly, flipping over and revealing his face.

Wyatt frowned slightly. It was Morgan.

His whole demeanor was offโ€”his pupils looked deranged, his expression blank and unstable. Sometimes he stared into space for a full ten seconds without blinking.

The server tried to drag him back, but Morgan suddenly regained strength and yanked the man by his tie, pulling him close with a snarl. โ€œYou little shit, you dare lay hands on me? Do you even know who I am?! Iโ€™m Morgan! Even if I kill someone, no one would dare touch me! You hear me?!โ€

He jabbed a finger into the serverโ€™s chest over and over, sending the poor guy trembling in fear.

Then, with brute force, Morgan flipped him over and started yanking at the manโ€™s pants, pinning him down right there in the hall.

The server screamed, struggling in panic. โ€œMr. Morgan, what are you doing?โ€

Morgan growled, โ€œStay still! If you piss me off like that slut Elsie did, Iโ€™ll kill you too!โ€

Both Yunice and Wyatt froze.

They hadnโ€™t expected Morgan to blurt out something like that in front of everyone.

Wyatt instinctively looked at Yuniceโ€”and she looked right back at him.

But what Yunice cared about most was how he planned to clean up this mess.

This was the main hall of an exclusive club. Silencing one person was easyโ€”silencing a crowd was another story.

Wyatt hesitated, then muttered, โ€œHeโ€™s highโ€ฆโ€

He was trying to say Morgan wasnโ€™t in his right mind, that his words couldnโ€™t be trusted.

But he stopped short.

Because Morgan never knew how to shut up.

Who knew if what he said was true or not?

Yunice didnโ€™t bother with Wyatt. She started walking down, wanting to provoke Morgan furtherโ€”maybe get more out of him.

But just as she moved, Wyatt grabbed her wrist, stopping her.

Within seconds, the police arrived.

They said theyโ€™d received a tip about suspected drug useโ€”and promptly arrested Morgan.

Yunice followed them down and caught a glimpse of someone in the cornerโ€ฆ

The simp from earlier gave a discreet โ€œOKโ€ gesture before slipping out the back exit.

He wouldnโ€™t be showing his face in the country for a while. No one would suspect Yunice had anything to do with it. Everyone would assume Morgan simply lost control during a bender and exposed himself.

And through the entire arrest, Wyatt never intervened. He didnโ€™t even make an appearance.

Later that night, they both returned to Pavilion Hall.

As soon as she heard the car engine, Elianna came clattering down the stairs. โ€œWyatt! Did you see the news? They said Morgan was high and went crazy in publicโ€”he was arrested by the police! And theyโ€™re saying he confessed to killing Elsie!โ€

She turned and saw Yunice standing there, and suddenly realizedโ€”the fallout from this mess didnโ€™t just affect Wyatt.

It involved Yunice too.
