Chapter 506 Total Chaos at the Saunders Household

Yunice hadnโ€™t come to the Saunders family home today just to get humiliated. But with trash, sometimes you need trash to clean it upโ€”todayโ€™s mess was just getting started.

Sure enough, Peggy didnโ€™t treat Mr. Terrance with an ounce of respect. โ€œI call you an old coot and youโ€™re offended? Look at you, embarrassing yourself again!โ€

โ€œItโ€™s the modern era. No one needs their parentsโ€™ approval or a matchmakerโ€™s word anymore. As long as Iโ€™ve got a marriage certificate, forget youโ€”even if Owenโ€™s own mother didnโ€™t approve, no oneโ€™s breaking us up, got it?โ€

โ€œIf you really canโ€™t stand your niece-in-law, then thereโ€™s the doorโ€”donโ€™t let it hit you on the way out.โ€

Peggyโ€™s voice rang out like a bell, grinding Mr. Terranceโ€™s face into the dirt with zero regard.

He turned pale and wide-eyed in fury. He never imagined this woman would be so savage. Glaring at Owen, he barked, โ€œOwen! Slap her mouth! Show her who runs this family!โ€

โ€œUhโ€ฆโ€ Owen flinched at being called out. He knew if he dared hit Peggy, sheโ€™d either slap him back or call the cops and report him for domestic abuse. Either way, heโ€™d be screwed.

Owen didnโ€™t move. Peggy just laughed. โ€œThatโ€™s a good questionโ€”youโ€™re asking who runs this family? The surname here is Saunders. Whatโ€™s a Moore like you doing running your mouth on Saunders territory?โ€

Mr. Terranceโ€™s face turned beet red. He couldnโ€™t even come up with a comeback and just kept glaring, pressing Owen again: โ€œOwen! What are you standing there for? Hit this shrew already! You call yourself a man and canโ€™t even keep your wife in line?โ€

โ€œOoooh, how impressiveโ€”โ€ Peggy crossed her arms and taunted him, โ€œSo this is what being a real man looks like? You show your manliness by beating women?โ€

She stuck out her face, tapped her cheek. โ€œGo on, hit me. Thirty grand a slap. Come onโ€”โ€

Owenโ€™s face turned crimson. He was completely stuck. Peggy had him so terrified, he didnโ€™t dare raise a hand. He knew if he did, sheโ€™d retaliate, and hard.

Seeing his hesitation, Mr. Terrance was fuming. He widened his eyes and growled, โ€œHow did your mother give birth to such a useless thing? Canโ€™t even handle your own wife! Fine, if you wonโ€™t do it, Iโ€™ll teach her myself!โ€

Just as he rolled up his sleeves, Peggy rammed into his chest with a headbutt. He staggered back several steps and plopped down hard into a chair.

Peggy casually brushed her bangs aside. โ€œArenโ€™t you a little old to be pretending youโ€™re still young and tough?โ€

Mr. Terrance gawked at her, clearly stunned by her ferocity.

But unwilling to admit defeat, he clutched his chest and began faking a scene. โ€œUgh, ugh. Sheโ€™s trying to kill me!โ€

Even though Owen knew he was faking, he still didnโ€™t want things to get any uglier. He helped hold him up and frowned at Peggy. โ€œJust apologize to him already!โ€

Mr. Terrance wheezed in Owenโ€™s arms, pointing at Peggy with trembling fingers. โ€œWords arenโ€™t enough. I need a real apology and a hundred thousand in medical expenses!โ€

Peggy snorted. โ€œWhat, you made of gold? One hundred grand? Youโ€™ve gone insane.โ€

Owen snapped. โ€œCan you shut up and just apologize already?!โ€

Peggy folded her arms, eyes rolling to the ceiling. โ€œIn your dreams.โ€

Mr. Terrance looked between the useless Owen and Lily. โ€œYouโ€™re all just going to let her run wild?โ€

Lily looked extremely uncomfortable. No matter how skilled she was, she couldnโ€™t get a handle on Peggy. The woman was a force of natureโ€”soft didnโ€™t work, hard didnโ€™t either.

If there had been a way to keep her out, she wouldโ€™ve taken it. But right nowโ€ฆ there wasnโ€™t.

Seeing no one would back him up, Mr. Terrance spat, โ€œFine, fine. You people really are somethingโ€”letting a woman walk all over you like this. Iโ€™m embarrassed for you!โ€

โ€œFine. Donโ€™t say a word. Iโ€™ll go tell everyone just how pathetic you lot are. Letโ€™s see if you can still show your faces after that!โ€

Owen, now completely humiliated, couldnโ€™t help but turn to Yunice and shout, โ€œYunice! Are you going to do something about your people or not?!โ€

With that roar, all eyes shifted back to Yunice.

She held her teacup, looking slightly out of the loop.

Just as everyone wondered what this had to do with her, Elsie sprang up, red-eyed and pleading to Yunice. โ€œYunice, please donโ€™t let her keep hurting people!โ€

Mr. Terrance blinked. โ€œWhat do you mean by that, Elsie? Iโ€™m not following.โ€

Elsie, still on the ground, turned her head and said, โ€œPeggyโ€™s actually Yuniceโ€™s friend. Sheโ€™s been badmouthing the family nonstop, and thatโ€™s why Peggy keeps helping her go against us.โ€

She even wiped away a tear, looking completely helpless. โ€œIn this house, Peggy only listens to Yunice. If you want her to apologize, youโ€™ll have to beg Yunice personally.โ€
