Chapter 431 The Man He Thought She Was With

โ€œYunice!โ€ Wyatt grabbed her from behind, pulling her into his arms. โ€œThatโ€™s not what I meantโ€ฆโ€

His breath was tight, his voice low and rushed. โ€œI just didnโ€™t expect thatโ€ฆ you and Paul never happened. I thought you liked him. I thoughtโ€ฆโ€

โ€œYou thought I loved him without limitsโ€”that Iโ€™d do anything for him, didnโ€™t you?โ€ Yunice cut him off.

Wyatt went silent. It wasnโ€™t just him whoโ€™d thought that.

Everyone had said so. So when others believed it, he did too.

After a long pause, he climbed out of bed, wrapped her in the blanket, and reached for his coat. โ€œYou rest. I need to go out.โ€

Seeing the cold look on his face, Yunice got a bad feeling. โ€œWhere are you going?โ€

โ€œSomething minor. Donโ€™t worry about it.โ€

And with that, he threw on his coat and left, shutting the door behind him.

The longer Yunice sat there, the more uneasy she felt. She got out of bed and quickly dressed.

But the movement tugged at her, and she winced in pain.

She yanked the stained sheets from the bed and tossed them into the trash.

Wyattโ€”you had the whole meal served and left after a single bite.

What a waste of a perfect evening.

Muttering in frustration, she stormed out after him, only to see his car disappearing into the distance.

The staff tried to stop her. โ€œMaโ€™am, Mr. Wyatt told us to look after you. He said you shouldnโ€™t go outโ€ฆโ€

โ€œMove!โ€ Yunice shoved past them, grabbed a car from the garage, and sped off in the direction Wyatt had taken.

What was he planning?

Why did he react so strongly?

It wasnโ€™t like Wyatt had a thing about virginity. He wouldnโ€™t have touched her if he did. So why did it matter now?

Didnโ€™t he just like her body?

Wasnโ€™t she just a stand-in for the woman he really loved in Nanfeng?

Yuniceโ€™s mind was a mess. She couldnโ€™t figure Wyatt out at all.

He drove fast, and soon she lost sight of him.

With no other clues, she took a guess and turned toward Wellinges Pharma.

She guessed right.

Wyatt had gone to Wellinges Pharma.

He didnโ€™t even turn off the engine or close the car door. He just stormed into the building.

Employees greeted him along the way, but he didnโ€™t hear a word.

Then Paul appeared, walking out of his office.

Wyattโ€™s rage only deepened. He advanced on Paul with dark, stormy eyes.

โ€œMr. Wyatt? Mr. Wyatt?โ€ Some staff sensed trouble and tried to intervene. Without turning back, Wyatt reached behind him and locked the door.

Paul instantly grew cautious, sensing danger. โ€œWhat are you doing?โ€

Wyatt didnโ€™t answer. He walked to the end of the hallway and locked the other door, then slammed his fists into the locks, smashing them. A chunk of the broken metal hit the ceiling camera, taking it out.

Paul looked around. The hallway was now sealedโ€”just him and Wyatt.

And for the first time, he felt fear.

โ€œWyatt, what do you think youโ€™re doing? This is a company-!โ€

He didnโ€™t finish.

Wyatt grabbed him and slammed him into the wall, pinning him by the throat with brutal force. Paulโ€™s feet dangled off the floor. His neck bulged. His temples throbbed.

He thrashed in panic, but it was useless.

Wyatt stared at him with bloodshot eyes, like he wanted to rip him apart.

โ€œHow dare you?! How dare you?!โ€

Outside the hallway, people were trying to open the doors, but the locks were wreckedโ€”nothing was budging.

It caused such a stir that Taylor had to be called in.

She arrived, eyes flickering when she learned Wyatt and Paul were locked in together.

While everyone else was panicked, she was delighted.

Let Paul get beaten to death. That would be ideal.

Still, she had to play along. Too many people were watching.

So she faked concern and called Yunice.

Yunice answered quickly, still driving. Taylor asked nosily, โ€œYunice, is Wyatt okay? Did something happen?โ€

Yunice instantly picked up on something in her tone. โ€œIs he at the company? Where? Iโ€™m looking for him.โ€

Taylor glanced down the hallway. She didnโ€™t really want Yunice to show up so soon.

But she hesitated too longโ€”and the anxious voices of the employees rang clearly through the phone: โ€œMr. Wyatt, Mr. Paul! Open the door!โ€

Yunice heard it and hung up on Taylor without another word.

Then she slammed her foot on the gas.

She already knew exactly what Wyatt was planning to do.
