Chapter 431 The Man He Thought She Was With
โYunice!โ Wyatt grabbed her from behind, pulling her into his arms. โThatโs not what I meantโฆโ
His breath was tight, his voice low and rushed. โI just didnโt expect thatโฆ you and Paul never happened. I thought you liked him. I thoughtโฆโ
โYou thought I loved him without limitsโthat Iโd do anything for him, didnโt you?โ Yunice cut him off.
Wyatt went silent. It wasnโt just him whoโd thought that.
Everyone had said so. So when others believed it, he did too.
After a long pause, he climbed out of bed, wrapped her in the blanket, and reached for his coat. โYou rest. I need to go out.โ
Seeing the cold look on his face, Yunice got a bad feeling. โWhere are you going?โ
โSomething minor. Donโt worry about it.โ
And with that, he threw on his coat and left, shutting the door behind him.
The longer Yunice sat there, the more uneasy she felt. She got out of bed and quickly dressed.
But the movement tugged at her, and she winced in pain.
She yanked the stained sheets from the bed and tossed them into the trash.
Wyattโyou had the whole meal served and left after a single bite.
What a waste of a perfect evening.
Muttering in frustration, she stormed out after him, only to see his car disappearing into the distance.
The staff tried to stop her. โMaโam, Mr. Wyatt told us to look after you. He said you shouldnโt go outโฆโ
โMove!โ Yunice shoved past them, grabbed a car from the garage, and sped off in the direction Wyatt had taken.
What was he planning?
Why did he react so strongly?
It wasnโt like Wyatt had a thing about virginity. He wouldnโt have touched her if he did. So why did it matter now?
Didnโt he just like her body?
Wasnโt she just a stand-in for the woman he really loved in Nanfeng?
Yuniceโs mind was a mess. She couldnโt figure Wyatt out at all.
He drove fast, and soon she lost sight of him.
With no other clues, she took a guess and turned toward Wellinges Pharma.
She guessed right.
Wyatt had gone to Wellinges Pharma.
He didnโt even turn off the engine or close the car door. He just stormed into the building.
Employees greeted him along the way, but he didnโt hear a word.
Then Paul appeared, walking out of his office.
Wyattโs rage only deepened. He advanced on Paul with dark, stormy eyes.
โMr. Wyatt? Mr. Wyatt?โ Some staff sensed trouble and tried to intervene. Without turning back, Wyatt reached behind him and locked the door.
Paul instantly grew cautious, sensing danger. โWhat are you doing?โ
Wyatt didnโt answer. He walked to the end of the hallway and locked the other door, then slammed his fists into the locks, smashing them. A chunk of the broken metal hit the ceiling camera, taking it out.
Paul looked around. The hallway was now sealedโjust him and Wyatt.
And for the first time, he felt fear.
โWyatt, what do you think youโre doing? This is a company-!โ
He didnโt finish.
Wyatt grabbed him and slammed him into the wall, pinning him by the throat with brutal force. Paulโs feet dangled off the floor. His neck bulged. His temples throbbed.
He thrashed in panic, but it was useless.
Wyatt stared at him with bloodshot eyes, like he wanted to rip him apart.
โHow dare you?! How dare you?!โ
Outside the hallway, people were trying to open the doors, but the locks were wreckedโnothing was budging.
It caused such a stir that Taylor had to be called in.
She arrived, eyes flickering when she learned Wyatt and Paul were locked in together.
While everyone else was panicked, she was delighted.
Let Paul get beaten to death. That would be ideal.
Still, she had to play along. Too many people were watching.
So she faked concern and called Yunice.
Yunice answered quickly, still driving. Taylor asked nosily, โYunice, is Wyatt okay? Did something happen?โ
Yunice instantly picked up on something in her tone. โIs he at the company? Where? Iโm looking for him.โ
Taylor glanced down the hallway. She didnโt really want Yunice to show up so soon.
But she hesitated too longโand the anxious voices of the employees rang clearly through the phone: โMr. Wyatt, Mr. Paul! Open the door!โ
Yunice heard it and hung up on Taylor without another word.
Then she slammed her foot on the gas.
She already knew exactly what Wyatt was planning to do.
