Freya opened her mouth to speak, but before she could utter a word, Audrey waved her off, saying, “Freya, you better hurry up and give me a great-grandchild.”

Hearing Audrey’s words, Eloise’s eyes instantly welled up with tears. The next second, Eloise ran out of the Sutton Mansion, tears streaming down her face.

Seeing this, Kieran hurried after her, calling out, “Ellie!” Before he left, Kieran shot Freya a cold glare.

Freya felt the weight of Kieran’s stare. She wasn’t worried about being misunderstood by him, but being falsely accused still left a sour taste.

Audrey seemed to have anticipated Kieran chasing after Eloise. She wasn’t worried. Instead, she told Freya, “Freya, take a seat.”

Freya cut to the chase. “Audrey, did you say that on purpose just now?”

Hearing the accusatory tone in Freya’s voice, Audrey remained unfazed, saying, “What’s done is done. From now on, you’re the chosen fiancée of the Sutton family. Don’t worry, Eloise won’t threaten your position.”

“She won’t threaten my position? Audrey’s move is cunning,” Freya thought. “With just one sentence, Audrey made Kieran doubt me. It’s a scheme to keep me tied to the Sutton family and under Audrey’s control.”

Freya remembered how she used to try to copy Eloise, all while Audrey watched closely. Yet, Audrey never intervened because she knew that even if Freya perfected her imitation of Eloise, she would never truly win Kieran’s heart.

And Freya could only please Audrey to secure her place as Kieran’s fiancée. She had once thought Audrey truly cared for her. It turned out the Sutton family’s schemes were indeed extraordinary.

“If there’s nothing else, Audrey, I’ll leave now.” Freya adjusted her clothes and left the Sutton Mansion without looking back.

Seeing Freya like this, Audrey frowned. The housekeeper beside her said, “Mrs. Sutton, Ms. Dawson is getting harder to control.”

“We thought Freya was a docile child, but it turns out…” Audrey said coldly, “But she’s still better than that woman, Eloise. We’ll make do.”

Meanwhile, Freya returned to the Dawson family home and found Johanna already waiting. Seeing Freya wearing Kieran’s shirt, Johanna’s eyes sparkled. “Reya! What happened last night?”

Freya couldn’t stand Johanna’s vulgar curiosity and coldly headed upstairs.

Seeing Freya walking away, Johanna hurriedly followed, saying, “Reya, did you win Mr. Sutton over? I knew you could do it! Does this mean our family’s crisis is over? Did you talk to Mr. Sutton about our company’s issues?”

Johanna bombarded her with questions, and finally, Freya had enough. She stopped and turned to face Johanna.

Johanna was stunned by Freya’s icy stare. With a cold tone, Freya said, “Did you have a hand in last night’s setup, Johanna?”

“What… How can you say that? I only wanted what’s best for you.” Johanna smiled, saying, “Once it’s done, your place as Mrs. Sutton is secured! And our family won’t have to worry about the Sutton Group’s pressure anymore, right?”

Faced with Johanna’s shameless antics, Freya’s gaze grew even colder. “Well, Johanna, your plan is flawed. Kieran is far from helping the Dawson family now. He hates me too much.”

Johanna was dumbfounded. “Why is that!”

Freya didn’t bother explaining further to Johanna and went upstairs, leaving the conversation behind.
