“Okay, let’s get this show on the road.”

Just then, the door to the grand hall swung open. Freya turned to see who it was and spotted Eloise stepping in, wearing a conservative, Chanel-inspired white outfit, exuding a gentle and proper vibe.

“Ms. Dawson, I’m truly sorry about yesterday’s incident.” Though Eloise was apologizing, she deliberately let Freya glimpse Keran inside the green room. Trying to assert dominance before her at this moment was utterly unnecessary.

“I’ve spoken to Kieran, but he…” Eloise paused, looking troubled, “…I hope you won’t hold it against him.”

Saying so, Eloise stepped forward and took Freya’s hand. Freya glanced at Eloise’s hand holding hers and smoothly withdrew it, her face breaking into a polite smile as she said, “Ms. Harwood, you’re reading too much into it. Kieran and I have no relationship to speak of. I couldn’t be happier about the annulment. Why would I hold any grudge against him?”

Seeing no trace of attachment to Kieran in Freya’s eyes, Eloise smiled, saying, “That’s good to hear.”

“Ms. Dawson, you’re up.” A staff member approached Freya.

Freya nodded and followed the staff member toward the stage.

“Mr. Sutton, we’re all set.”

“Okay.”

Kieran stood up and went to the stage as well.

Eloise remained where she was, her heart tightening as she watched them head to the stage to clear the air. If this could finally bring about the annulment, that would be more than she could ask for.

With Freya and Kieran sitting on either side, countless flashes focused on them.

“Mr. Sutton, Ms. Dawson, we’ve heard you’re here to clarify matters concerning your annulment. Can you confirm if the reason Ms. Dawson mentioned for the annulment at the engagement party is true?”

Faced with the journalist’s question, Kieran frowned. The article Luna, released on behalf of Freya, sparked much public discourse. Although they suppressed it, it still leaked and became a hot topic. Then, everyone was waiting for Freya’s response.

With shocking calmness, Freya said, “We’ve never tried, so I’m not sure if it’s true. You should ask someone with experience.” Instantly, the atmosphere tinged with the implication that Freya was insinuating something about Eloise.

Many journalists couldn’t hide their amused looks, clearly relishing the juicy detail. Kieran’s frown deepened further. However, Freya appeared utterly indifferent. Since they were going their separate ways after today anyway, she didn’t mind antagonizing Kieran further, making sure he harbored no hopes of reconciliation.
