Chapter 58

โ€œBehind me, Iโ€™ve got the backing of Mr. Sutton! Ronan doesnโ€™t scare me one bit.โ€

At that moment, Hanley, blinded by lust, stripped off his shirt, his face alight with excitement. โ€œMs. Dawson, you seem to like making noise, donโ€™t you? Well, youโ€™ll have plenty of time for that soon!โ€

โ€œHanley! Let go! Donโ€™t touch me!โ€

โ€œIโ€™ve heard tales, Ms. Dawson, about how youโ€™d do anything to please Kieran. Tonight, Iโ€™m keen to see what Kieran has been enjoying all this time!โ€

As Hanley leaned in closer, Freyaโ€™s mind raced back to the humiliation she faced before her death in her past life. The face of Hanley merged with those of her kidnappers, and Freya clenched her fists.

She thought, โ€˜Am I destined to endure the same fate, even in this life? Kieran! Is this what I owe you? No! God has given me a second chance, and I refuse to submit! No way!โ€™

Freya suddenly sat up with a burst of strength and headbutted Hanley in the forehead. Hanley cried out in pain, stumbling backward. Freya rolled off the bed with her last strength, but Hanley quickly grabbed her hair, snarling, โ€œTrying to run? Not so easy!โ€

โ€œDo you think youโ€™re some saint? Youโ€™re nothing but a plaything that Mr. Sutton has had his fun with!โ€

As Hanley dragged Freya back onto the bed, this time, he wouldnโ€™t give her a chance to escape. Hanley tied Freya to the bed with a rope and declared, โ€œLetโ€™s see you try to escape now!โ€

Knock, knock. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. As Hanley got into the mood, he snapped irritably, โ€œWho is it?โ€

The persistent knocking finally got to Hanley, who grudgingly left the bed to open the door, grumbling, โ€œWe donโ€™t need room service! Scram!โ€

But a kick sent him sprawling to the floor before he could finish his sentence.

โ€œWho!โ€

Looking up, Hanley saw Ronan at the door, his face pale with fear. โ€œMr. Beckett?โ€

Ronan looked down at Hanley with disdain, as if he were trash. โ€œGet out!โ€

Seeing Ronan, Hanley felt as if his soul had left his body. Upon hearing the word โ€˜get out,โ€™ he scrambled away as if he had been granted a pardon.

Ronan glanced around the room, immediately noticing Freya tied up on the bed. He went over, untied her, and frowned. โ€œHow could you be so defenseless?โ€

Freya sighed in relief. โ€œWho would have thought heโ€™d attack me?โ€

Freya was still feeling dizzy. Noticing the marks on her body, Ronan took off his jacket and draped it over her. He then scooped Freya into his arms. Seeing her dazed expression, he said, โ€œDonโ€™t overthink it. Youโ€™re my valuable partner, my lucky charm. If you keep leaving yourself this vulnerable, I might just have to keep you by my side all the time to make sure youโ€™re safe.โ€

Kieranโ€™s car was parked outside the hotel. Jarrett opened the door for Kieran, whose expression darkened upon seeing the hotelโ€™s facade.

โ€œMr. Sutton, this is the place.โ€
