Jarrett immediately lowered his head, not daring to speak. With a stormy expression, Kieran said, “It’s her damn fault! She was practically asking for it.”

“Yes, yes… you’re absolutely right, Mr. Sutton,” Jarrett agreed. “She knew what she was doing. What’s she got to complain about now?”

“Yes, Mr. Sutton. It’s all Ms. Dawson’s own doing,” Jarrett echoed. Hearing Jarrett echo his sentiments finally lightened Kieran’s mood.

Then, Silas burst into the office, his face alight with excitement. “You guys will never guess what I just saw! I saw this stunning blonde hiding behind the sunglasses!”

Barely containing his excitement, Silas clapped Kieran on the back. “Man, Kieran, I thought we were buds! And here you are, keeping a bombshell like that hidden away in the office and not telling me!”

The more Silas said, the darker Kieran’s expression became. Jarrett cleared his throat lightly and said, “Mr. Vaughn, that was… Ms. Dawson.”

“What? Freya?” Silas was shocked. He thought he had misheard. Wasn’t Freya always the shy, reserved type? When had she ever dressed so boldly? Already in a foul mood, Kieran frowned and asked, “What do you want?”

Silas was confused and replied, “What do you mean, ‘what do I want’? It’s Eloise’s birthday, remember? Didn’t you say we were going to celebrate at Eclipse Lounge?”

Hearing this, Kieran suddenly recalled the importance of the day. Frustrated, he rubbed his temples. “This is all that damn Freya’s fault!” he thought.

“Alright, I’ll have Jarrett pick up Ellie.”

Silas asked, “What about her birthday present? Did you get it?”

Kieran had been so preoccupied with Freya that he had forgotten the birthday present. Kieran instructed Jarrett, “Go to the jewelry store, get a nice piece of jewelry, have it wrapped, and send it over.”

“Right away, Mr. Sutton.”

Silas cut in, “Man, Eloise isn’t just after any random piece of jewelry. She’s been dreaming about a ring.”

The mention of “ring” triggered a memory in Kieran’s mind of the day he threw a ring into the pool, and Freya had dived in after it. Kieran said coldly, “Ellie’s being ridiculous, and you’re encouraging her?”

Silas snorted, “I’m just speaking the truth.”

Kieran directed his gaze towards Jarrett, his tone icy, “Anything is fine, just not a ring.”

“Understood, Mr. Sutton.”

Silas couldn’t help but add, “But seriously, Kieran, are you going to cut ties with Freya?”
