“Johanna, the whole breakup thing with Mr. Sutton is settled. We parted on good terms. Considering our past, you won’t hold grudges against the Dawson family, right, Mr. Sutton?”

At that moment, Freya was essentially offering Kieran a way out.

Clutching a throw pillow, Kieran retorted, “When did I ever say I wanted to break up?”

“You…”

“And who told you that breaking up was a done deal?” Kieran snorted. “Freya, trying to provoke me into breaking up so you can freely be with Ronan? Wishful thinking.”

“Mr. Sutton, you just said…”

“While I don’t particularly like you, I never said I wouldn’t marry you. I’ll hold a press conference to clear up the confusion from our previous breakup.”

“Mrs. Dawson, I’ll leave the preparations to you. I don’t want to see a repeat of what happened before.”

“Rest assured, Mr. Sutton. This breakup situation will not happen a second time!”

Freya’s face darkened. In her past life, she desperately clung to a relationship while Kieran was determined not to engage with her. How come, after being reborn, Kieran was eagerly pushing for an engagement?

After Kieran left, Johanna cheered with relief, “Oh, thank goodness! You’ve finally locked down being Mrs. Sutton!”

Freya’s face was devoid of any smile as she walked directly to a cardboard box, scooping up its contents and dragging it outside. Johanna was puzzled. “Freya! What are you doing now?”

Sparks flew in the backyard as Freya burned everything in the box.

“Freya! Have you lost your mind? Mr. Sutton said he’d let bygones be bygones. Why can’t you appreciate that?”

Before Johanna could finish, she saw Freya’s fierce gaze, causing her to recoil.

“Johanna, this is the first and last warning. Don’t enter my room without my permission.”

“You…” Johanna turned pale under Freya’s intimidating stare. The former Freya could never have looked so formidable.

“By the way, I’ve been checking the company’s accounts and I found some discrepancies. Johanna, you wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?”

Faced with Freya’s piercing look, Johanna stiffened, “Ac–accounts?”

Johanna wondered, ‘Didn’t Galen say this nosy girl couldn’t read a ledger? Why did she suddenly ask about the accounts?’

“I’ll go through the books with the accountant tomorrow. You better be prepared, Johanna.” Freya patted Johanna’s shoulder lightly, sending shivers down her spine.

Over the years, Johanna had embezzled millions! If that came to light… No! She had to find a way to marry off Freya quickly! She couldn’t let Freya dig into the accounts!
