“Holy moly, borrowing money from the lecturer Ronan is quite the move, especially after all the trash you talked about him, and he lent it to you?”

“Well, Ronan and Kieran are at each other’s throats. If I help him, he’ll lend me the money.”

“It makes sense,” Luna realized a bit too late. “Wait a minute. What did you do for him?”

Freya answered, “I helped him deal with Kieran.”

“What? Are you seriously picking a fight with Kieran?”

Luna was astonished. She had seen how deeply in love Freya was with Kieran before. She initially thought Freya was just throwing a fit, but it turned out she was actually serious about calling off her engagement with Kieran. That was quite the plot twist!

Seeing Luna’s astonished reaction, Freya couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh. Even her best friend thought she couldn’t live without Kieran. What would others think then?

The heiress of the Dawson family turned into a joke over Kieran. It was indeed laughable.

In the evening, Johanna, all dolled up, dragged Kara to the Sutton Group. Inside the CEO’s office, Johanna looked at Kieran sitting in his office chair and sheepishly said, “Mr. Sutton, I know Freya has been a bit unreasonable recently and upset you. She’s stubborn and didn’t want to apologize, so I brought her cousin here to apologize to you on her behalf.”

Hearing that, Kieran sneered, “Oh? Did Freya send Mrs. Dawson here?”

“Of course!” Johanna rushed to say, “Freya knows she was wrong, and she also said calling off the engagement wasn’t her intention. Mr. Sutton, please forgive her for her youthful ignorance.”

Seeing Freya admit her mistake, Kieran sarcastically said, “It seems like she finally gained a bit of self-awareness.”

“Absolutely!” Sensing it was the moment, Johanna gave Kara a look. Ever since Kara walked in, she couldn’t take her eyes off Kieran. She had never seen a man as handsome as him before, and she found herself a bit starstruck.

“Kara, come meet Freya’s fiancé, Mr. Sutton.”

“Hi, Mr. Sutton…” Kara shyly lowered her head.

Hearing this term, Kieran felt a strange sense of satisfaction. Freya verbally wanted to end their engagement but was playing a different game behind his back. Was she eventually going to plead for their engagement?

Seeing the situation, Johanna said, “Mr. Sutton, Freya’s cousin, Kara, just returned from the countryside. She wishes to attend Summit University. Unfortunately, she has no connections. I wonder if Mr. Sutton could help Kara out?”

“It’s not a big deal, just a phone call away,” Kieran said nonchalantly.

Hearing that, Johanna was overjoyed. “Kara! Thank Mr. Sutton.”

“Let’s not rush the thanks,” Kieran spoke indifferently. “I’ve helped you out. Shouldn’t Freya show some gratitude?”

“Yes, of course. I’ll bring Freya over tomorrow to apologize. If that doesn’t satisfy you, we’ll accept whatever punishment you choose!”

Kieran said indifferently, “Freya doesn’t owe me an apology. It’s Ellie who deserves it. Bring her over tomorrow, and have her kneel and apologize to Ellie.”

“Sure! You can count on me. I’ll ensure she gives Ms. Harwood a proper apology.” Johanna was grinning from ear to ear.

Blushing, Kara said, “Thank you, Mr. Sutton. I’ll study hard and not let you down.”
