โ€œDeal with it yourself.โ€

Freya turned to the maid standing by and said, โ€œSandra, book a hotel for Ms. Orson. She can stay as long as she likes. Letโ€™s just be clear about the guest and host here. Right, Ms. Orson?โ€

Freya didnโ€™t miss the look Kara gave her just then. After Freya spoke, Karaโ€™s face was filled with panic. She looked pleadingly at Johanna, who immediately snapped, โ€œOh, look at you, Freya! Are you flexing your muscles as the lady of the house already? Donโ€™t forget whoโ€™s been running this place all this time! How could you?โ€

โ€œJohanna, the Dawson family has always been my responsibility. I respected you as my elder before and let you handle things, but donโ€™t get too comfortable playing the lady of the house. If you canโ€™t bear to see Kara leave, I might have to ask you both to leave.โ€

Johanna was outraged. โ€œYou!โ€

โ€œIโ€™m sorry. Itโ€™s my fault,โ€ Kara stepped forward quickly. โ€œMs. Dawson, I imposed myself without asking. Iโ€™ll leave right now.โ€

โ€œYou see, Kara, youโ€™re just too obedient.โ€ Then, turning to Freya with a glare, Johanna said, โ€œUnlike someone here, whoโ€™s all sharp words and no heart!โ€

Freya couldnโ€™t care less about Johanna. She instructed Sandra, โ€œTake Ms. Orson to the hotel. Whenever sheโ€™s ready, send her home.โ€

โ€œYes, Ms. Dawson.โ€

Sandra approached Kara, whose face showed a mix of emotions. Despite this, she followed Sandra out. She knew that if she didnโ€™t leave, she might never have the chance to stay in this vibrant city again!

After watching Kara being sent off, Johanna hurried after her. โ€œKara, donโ€™t worry. I promised you, and Iโ€™ll make it happen. Give me a few days, and Iโ€™ll get you into Summit University. Wait for my news.โ€

Karaโ€™s eyes filled with gratitude. โ€œThank you, Aunt Johanna.โ€

After Kara left, Johanna turned back and shouted at Freya, โ€œSince youโ€™re too proud to charm Mr. Sutton, someone else will! And when heโ€™s taken, I hope you wonโ€™t be too desperate!โ€

Freya had retreated to her room. While listening to Johannaโ€™s shouts from downstairs, she couldnโ€™t help but laugh. She had seen through Johannaโ€™s intentions when she saw how Kara was dressed. But if Kieran were that easy to charm, he wouldnโ€™t be Kieran.

Freya planned to return to school the following day, a move unheard of for her lately. Her best friend Luna drove her, steering the wheel while asking, โ€œArenโ€™t you on a break? Instead of resting at home, why torture yourself by returning to school?โ€

Freya said bluntly, โ€œI have to. The company needs money.โ€

โ€œWhat? Your familyโ€™s company is short on cash, huh? If so, should mine declare bankruptcy?โ€ Luna paused, then added, โ€œWait, if itโ€™s money issues, what does school have to do with it? Since when did school start doing charity work?โ€

โ€œYou wouldnโ€™t understand. Youโ€™ll see when we get there,โ€ said Freya.

Freya had seen the schoolโ€™s announcement that Ronan Beckett, the head of the Beckett Group, was invited as a guest speaker. In a past life, Ronan and Kieran were arch-enemies, always at each otherโ€™s throats. Freya disliked Ronan back then because of her feelings for Kieran, often publicly expressing her disdain. But in this life, Ronan might be her savior!

After they arrived at the school, Luna joined Freya in rushing to the seventh floor of the main building. Seeing Ronan had been speaking for over ten minutes, the atmosphere in the classroom was palpably intense. Luna only peeked through the door and sighed, โ€œThis is way too academic for meโ€ฆ looks like weโ€™re late.โ€
