Listen to this chapter:

Thea was unhappy that Yuna had insulted James.

"My husband isn't a nobody," Thea stated.

"Isn't he?" Yuna smiled. "I've heard all about him. Your family chose him for you. He doesn't have a job; he just sweeps and cooks at home, relying on the Callahans for support. He used to pick you up from work at Eternality on his electric motorcycle. It's a popular joke in Cansingon now."

"Keep talking, and I'll leave," Thea said, her unhappiness evident.

"Alright, I was just joking," Yuna apologized quickly. It seemed Thea was deeply in love with James; creating a rift between them would be difficult. She changed the subject. "Which clothes do you like? Just pick them out, and I'll give them to you. With your amazing figure and beautiful looks, anything would suit you."

Thea's unhappy expression softened. However, she could afford the clothes herself; she didn't want Yuna's charity.

With Yuna's help, Thea selected a form-fitting white dress. She liked the color white; it represented purity. When she went to pay, she discovered it cost $180,000. She was shocked; she hadn't expected it to be so expensive.

"Thea, I told you, it's a gift. The boutique is mine," Yuna said.

"No, I can't let you do that," Thea replied, waving a hand and producing a black card from her purse. She felt a pang of worry: What if the card had no credit? She would be humiliated again.

The cashier looked at Yuna. Yuna glanced at the black card Thea held; she was shocked and envious. No one else knew what the card was, but she did: it was the Black Dragon card, the only one in the country.

"Go for it," Yuna finally said.

Since Thea had produced the Black Dragon card, Yuna stopped insisting. Thea handed over the card hesitantly. The cashier accepted it with both hands and processed the transaction. Thea keyed in the PIN James had given her. (The Black Dragon card, belonging solely to James, didn't actually require a PIN; any number would work.)

"Your payment is successful…"

Thea breathed a sigh of relief. The card was genuine!

"Ms. Callahan, here's your card," the cashier said.

Thea took the Black Dragon card and pocketed it. Yuna smiled broadly. "Thea, where do you want to go next? I'll come with you."

"Huh?" Thea was astonished. Yuna was the chairman of Longevity Pharmaceuticals! How could she possibly ask Yuna to shop with her?

"I have some time anyway," Yuna added.

"James said I should get some jewelry," Thea replied.

"Alright, I'll come with you," Yuna agreed.

"Okay…" Thea was still in shock. James was downstairs in the lounge, smoking and playing Plants vs. Zombies on his phone.

"Jamie…" Thea called. He immediately put down his phone and stood up. "How did it go?" he asked.

Thea lifted her shopping bag. "I bought something, but…" she swallowed. "It—it's slightly expensive. It cost $180,000." She had never owned anything so expensive before and feared James would be angry at her for wasting money.

James smiled. "It's just $180,000. It's not like we're poor. Is there anything else you want to buy? You should shop some more."

Yuna approached, smiling. "James, why don't you go home? I'll shop with Thea."
