The meeting concluded after a brief discussion. Pippa waved goodbye to the departing parents at the classroom door. Roxanne approached with a concerned expression. "Ms. Ward," she asked, "are you sure you don't want to change the plot for Sleeping Beauty? I'm not sure it's appropriate for the children to witness that final scene..."

Pippa offered a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Ms. Jarvis. The children already know about such things. Besides, you won't actually kiss; you'll simply position yourselves to appear as if you are." She glanced behind her. "I'm sure you'll cooperate fully, won't you, Mr. Farwell?"

Roxanne tensed at this.

"Of course," Lucian replied, his voice low, as if whispering in her ear.

Roxanne lowered her gaze, stepped aside, and then turned to him. "Don't worry, Ms. Jarvis," Lucian said, a cold look on his face. "I'm not the type to take advantage of others. Besides, we're both parents. We wouldn't do anything inappropriate."

"Relax, Ms. Jarvis," Pippa added. "It's just a group of children watching a play."

Unsure, Roxanne nodded with a forced smile. "Thank you for your help earlier."

"No need to thank me. I was just doing my job!" Pippa replied casually, chuckling.

Roxanne chatted briefly before leaving. As she reached her car door, Lucian's voice came from behind. "Since you've agreed to work with me, you won't let your personal feelings affect the play, will you, Ms. Jarvis?"

Roxanne turned, nodding calmly. "Rest assured, Mr. Farwell, I will fully cooperate with the kindergarten." She deliberately emphasized the kindergarten's involvement.

Lucian's expression darkened. "Good. I hope we can work well together." Roxanne felt uneasy, nodding in response. Knowing him, he won't let me leave easily. Fortunately, I have an excuse ready.

To her surprise, Lucian entered his car silently and drove away.

Roxanne froze in shock.

"Ms. Jarvis," Cassandra called.

Snapping out of her daze, Roxanne turned.

"I'm sorry for putting you in a difficult position earlier," Cassandra said apologetically, approaching. "I didn't realize Mr. Farwell's daughter was so close to your children."

Roxanne offered a faint smile. "It's alright. I agreed to the team change, too."

Slightly relieved, Cassandra asked, "W-What about Mr. Farwell?" Both understood her implication. Cassandra, having suggested the team change, feared Lucian's anger. She wanted Roxanne to intervene.

Roxanne hesitated, remembering Lucian's cold expression. "I don't think you need to worry. The issue is resolved, and Mr. Farwell isn't that petty." But Cassandra's fearful, pleading gaze persisted.

Finally, Roxanne agreed. "Alright, I'll explain it to him properly."

"Thank you very much! Let me know if you ever need my help. I'll do my best!" Cassandra exclaimed, sighing with relief.

Roxanne simply smiled, her lips pursed.
