Chapter 1987: Get Hurt For Nothing
Dave was taken aback. "The Farwell family?"
Since he had just transferred from the north, he wasn't familiar with the city's hierarchy. He never imagined the famous Lucian Farwell of Farwell Group would be so young. In his mind, everyone in the business world would show him deference.
However, the other parents recognized the three children.
"Aren't these the geniuses who became famous upon enrolling?"
"You're right! The twins and their adorable sister. We're doomed! I heard their parents are incredibly influential."
"T-The Farwell family? The most prestigious family in Horington?"
Dumbstruck, the parents stared at Lucian and Roxanne with fear. One hurried to tug Dave's arm, winking repeatedly, hoping he'd understand.
Dave was bewildered. "The most prestigious family in Horington?"
He met Lucian's piercing gaze, his heart lurching.
"L-Lucian Farwell? Mr. Farwell?" Dave stuttered. Though he held a significant position, commanding respect even from school authorities, he was far less influential than Lucian Farwell.
Scared senseless, Dave froze, gulping nervously.
"Why did your son attack my children?" Lucian asked, his tone frigid.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Farwell. My child was wrong. I failed to raise him properly. I'll teach him a lesson!" One parent slapped his son.
The other parents, snapping out of their daze, apologized profusely.
"Mr. Farwell, it was my son's fault! I'll make him apologize!"
"Mr. Farwell, I failed to educate my son! Apologize to the Farwells! Are you deaf?"
Except for Zaron, the other children were severely punished, slapped and punched. They wailed, confused, as nothing like this had ever happened before when they bullied others with Zaron.
Zaron was stunned. "Dad, I only pushed the twins! Why aren't you saying anything?"
"You damn brat!"
Dave understood the principle of "playing with fire." Zaron's arrogance had led to his downfall. Dave intended to punish his son as the others had, hoping to appease the Farwells.
However, Lucian stopped him.
Roxanne, equally displeased, said coldly, "Mr. Rynder, we won't overlook this simply because you punished your son. My sons were injured for no reason!"
Terror-stricken, Dave stammered, "Y-You're right! We should apologize and compensate you! Mrs. Farwell, I apologize for my son's behavior!"
Lucian raised a hand, silencing the parents. "There's no need for apologies or compensation. We will decide how to punish the four children."
