Listen to this chapter:

After leaving the restrooms, Olivier immediately requested a private room. Seeing this, Gwenda asked, confused, "What's wrong? Why are we changing seats?" "It's quieter in the private room," Olivier replied, saying nothing more. Gwenda didn't question it further.

They finished their dinner in the private room. Afterward, Wendy expressed a desire to soak in the hot springs. However, Melanie, being elderly and averse to the hassle, returned to the villa first. Worried, Olivier decided to escort her. Consequently, Gwenda accompanied Wendy to the hot springs.

After changing, the housekeeper led them to the hot springs. Gwenda had just entered the water when she saw Gretchen soaking nearby. Coincidentally, Gretchen also looked up. Their eyes met, and Gwenda frowned in displeasure. What a small world! Why did she keep running into Gretchen? Gretchen, similarly, didn't look pleased to see her stepsister. They stared at each other for a moment before Gwenda looked away, ignoring her.

This angered Gretchen, who had been suppressing her fury. She glared at Gwenda with such intense hatred that her face contorted. Nearby, Wendy, sensing the glare, moved closer to Gwenda, whispering, "Gwenda, that woman seems to be glaring at you."

Gwenda, recognizing Gretchen, raised an eyebrow and said, "Just ignore her." "You know her?" Wendy asked. "Yeah," Gwenda replied. "She must be crazy! Are we sure her eyes aren't going to pop out?" Wendy asked seriously.

Gwenda chuckled. "This is the first time I've heard that glaring can cause your eyes to pop out." "I think they're really close to falling out," Wendy insisted, and Gwenda laughed.

From a distance, Gretchen watched them whisper and giggle, her fury growing. However, in this public setting, she restrained herself, much as she had at the restaurant.

After an hour, Gwenda and Wendy left the hot springs. Gwenda, walking ahead, wasn't paying attention when a loud thud echoed behind her. She turned to see Gretchen lying on the wet floor, with a frightened Wendy standing nearby.

"What happened?" Gwenda asked anxiously, running over.

"I I don't know. She suddenly ran into me and fell," Wendy stammered, panicked.

Gretchen, lying on the ground in apparent agony, gasped, "You you're lying! You pushed me!"

The wet floor and Gretchen's position suggested a forceful fall.

"I didn't push you!" Wendy insisted anxiously. "You ran into me! I didn't even see you coming!"

"You're lying!" Gretchen wailed, clutching her tailbone. "It hurts! It hurts so much"

Passersby helped Gretchen up and scolded Wendy. "What's wrong with you? You didn't even apologize or help her!" "Call an ambulance!" someone shouted.

Wendy, wrongly accused, was near tears. "I told you I didn't do anything! She fell!"

Gwenda comforted her. "Don't panic. I know you're not lying."

"Gwenda" Wendy sobbed.

"Let's get her to the hospital first," Gwenda said, calling for an ambulance while Gretchen contacted Martin.

Martin arrived to find Gretchen pale and distressed.

"What happened?" he asked.

Gretchen, without mentioning Gwenda, simply said, "I'm fine," before getting into the ambulance.

"Gwenda?" Martin questioned, confused. After helping Gretchen, he saw Gwenda and Olivier approaching.

Wendy was terrified, Gwenda comforting her. Olivier arrived, asking, "What happened?"

Wendy, overcome with emotion, began to cry. Olivier, frowning, said sharply, "Don't cry! Tell me what happened!"

"Let me tell you," Gwenda began.
