Chapter 116

The Lloyd family was in utter disarray. Kellan's face darkened upon learning Kinslee had vanished from the residence, disappearing from surveillance without a trace. His eyes flashed with fury, his expression a chilling calm before the storm.

"You've found her?" Kellan demanded, his voice icy as he addressed Sherman. "All the staff are paid handsomely at this residence, yet they still manage to lose an old lady! Fire every single one of them!"

Sherman, drenched in cold sweat, nodded profusely. "I'll get to it, Mr. Lloyd." He'd just received the news himself: Kinslee was missing. The entire residence was in chaos; panic rippled through the staff. This wasn't unprecedented; Kinslee had been targeted by kidnappers before, used as leverage against the Lloyds. But this carelessness was unacceptable. They were long overdue for a harsh lesson.

"Mr. Lloyd, please remain calm," Sherman offered. "Surveillance shows Ms. Lloyd left on her own. There are no signs of kidnapping. We've already dispatched search parties." Sherman glanced at his phone. A sigh of relief escaped him. "Mr. Lloyd, we've found her."

Kellan blinked. "She's… in bed," Sherman stammered, incredulous. His team had searched the entire facility, including the dangerous woods nearby, only to find Kinslee back in her bed, unharmed. It defied logic; it felt like a ghost story.

Just then, the residence director burst in, bowing deeply. His clothes were soaked with sweat, his voice trembling. "Mr. Lloyd, someone returned Mrs. Lloyd. We checked the surveillance; it was a masked man in black, evading cameras at every turn. We only have a blurry image of his back."

Kellan's fury erupted. He hurled his cup against the wall, the crash echoing like thunder. "You didn't even realize she was missing, and now you don't know who brought her back? And yet, I invest millions yearly, and suddenly you're all experts!"

The director fell to his knees, gasping for breath. "We are so sorry, Mr. Lloyd! We'll investigate immediately!"

Kellan's voice froze. "Give my grandmother a complete medical checkup. Once she's stable, move her to a safe location." He studied the surveillance footage on his phone. The figure in black wore a glowing silver mask; his slender frame was barely visible. Kellan's eyes narrowed. There was something familiar about his movements.

"Find him," Kellan commanded. "I want everything: his origin, destination, everything. And double my grandmother's security. Twenty-four-hour surveillance."

This man hadn't kidnapped Kinslee, but his skill was terrifying. He'd bypassed security with ease and somehow gained Kinslee's trust enough to return her unharmed. It made no sense. Why would he risk so much?

Kellan's gaze darkened as he addressed the director. His voice was dangerously low. "If this happens again, you know what awaits you."

The director, drenched in sweat, stammered, "Yes, Mr. Lloyd! It won't happen again!" Everyone knew what Kellan Lloyd was capable of. One word, and this entire facility—and its personnel—could vanish. They could become a distant memory, lost beneath the waves.
