Chapter 89

โ€œAll you do is study medicine; youโ€™re completely out of touch with everything else,โ€ Francesca explained. โ€œWeโ€™re simply not compatible.โ€

Cedric finally spoke. โ€œSimon, I agree you and Fran arenโ€™t a good match. However, as my senior apprentice, youโ€™ll inherit my medical legacy, and then you can have any woman you desire.โ€

Simonโ€™s face flushed crimson as he pointed at Cedric and Francesca. He stammered, โ€œB-butโ€ฆ y-youโ€ฆโ€ He tried to speak, but the words failed him. Overwhelmed by emotion, he fainted.

Cedric immediately ordered his staff to carry Simon to a guest room. Then, he turned to Andrew and sneered, โ€œWell, now youโ€™ve seen us make fools of ourselves. Itโ€™s time to prove yourself by treating Fran. Fail, and you wonโ€™t leave here in one piece.โ€

Andrew chuckled, earning a glare from Francesca. โ€œWhatโ€™s so funny?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m laughing at how Simon was completely oblivious to your feelings, and now his love has turned to heartbreak,โ€ Andrew replied with a smile.

Francescaโ€™s cheeks flushed. โ€œThereโ€™s nothing funny about it. I never had those feelings for Simon. Letโ€™s begin the treatment.โ€

In Francescaโ€™s room, Andrew prepared for the procedure while Cedric stood guard outside. His voice was icy as he muttered, โ€œLetโ€™s see what youโ€™re capable of. This condition stumped even me. Youโ€™re either very skilled or very foolish.โ€

Andrew ignored the old manโ€™s grumbling and instructed Francesca to undress. After some hesitation, she complied and lay on the bed. He then blindfolded himself and calmly stated, โ€œI need you to spread your legs for the procedure.โ€

Francescaโ€™s face turned bright red. โ€œAndrew, you promise you wonโ€™t look? If you doโ€ฆโ€ Her voice trailed off.

Andrew interrupted, โ€œDonโ€™t worry. I have no interest in looking.โ€

Francesca ground her teeth. What kind of man wouldn't want to look at her? She knew she possessed an attractive figure.

Andrewโ€™s thorough preparation meant the procedure was uncomplicated. Even blindfolded, his skill allowed him to work with precision and confidence.

Outside, Cedric paced anxiously, his face etched with worry. Francesca was his only granddaughter, and her condition had been beyond even his expertise. He couldn't comprehend this young doctor from Jayrodale General Hospitalโ€™s confidence, but if Andrew failed or took advantage of the situation, he would face Cedricโ€™s wrath.

Two hours later, the door opened. Andrew removed his blindfold and called out, โ€œYou can come in now, Mr. Aicker.โ€

Cedric rushed in. โ€œFran, how are you feeling?โ€

Francesca, fully dressed but still blushing, whispered, โ€œIโ€™m fine now, Grandpa.โ€

โ€œWhat do you mean by โ€˜fineโ€™?โ€

โ€œIt meansโ€ฆ Iโ€™m finally normal, like any other woman!โ€

Cedricโ€™s jaw dropped.
